Default Different Versions of Mirage Tour DVD
Some months ago, I bought the Brazilian import Mirage Tour DVD (the one with the Tango-era cover), and I really love this video. The version of "Gypsy" is particularly beautiful. The sound and video quality aren't the best, but I thought that was about as good as you can get with a VHS-to-DVD transfer.

I know there are quite a few DVD releases of this video, like the New Zealand release and this other one I've seen for sale. (The cover at least is much better.)

Does anyone own this "Live at the Los Angeles Forum, Mirage Tour 1982" DVD? Is the video/sound quality any better than on the Brazil DVD?

The best quality one out there is on laser disc:



I wish I could get my hands on a copy of that. Oh yeah, I guess I need a laser disc player too, huh?

This is the copy that I have. I got it at a local record store. I don't know where they ordered it from. It's a good copy. I'm not sure that this helps you, good luck.

She seems to overdo the vibrato... Nevertheless I lover her energy in this video..

Well, I like to think she was just ill with a broken heart. That's what comes to my mind anyway when I watch this Gypsy video.

Two versions, one from the VHS and the laser disc copy.
The VHS has more songs. The laser disc looks and sounds
better (maybe a slightly different mix). Luckily I have both
originals.

I have the version with this cover and the quality is better than most versions I've seen (altough probably not as good as the laserdisc)

I didn't like her voice, too low, but great performance anyway, specially Sister of the moon
