I never really thought of it very much, but "My Heart" doesn't even make the term pass through my brain.

It was my first stab at it because I wanted to share rare things with people that didn't have access to it because I didn't think it was fair for people to be left out from hearing such good stuff. Then all the bitching started.

The first major bitch was over my saying that I had a "very large" collection of stuff that I wanted to share. Some people took GREAT offense to my saying that I had a "very large" collection and posted a lot of nasty things about me on that wretched Stevie Nicks Chain group. It was incredibly silly.

The second major bitch was over sound quality. I had compressed the files so that I could fit more downloads on the page each week for people to hear. "They" didn't like that one bit.

Then I started getting emails from the group of farts that were involved with Bill and his reels that told me to stop posting the reels or else I'd find myself without a single person to trade with. They were true pieces of work.

It didn't matter that I was the person who started circulating the SYW early mixes or that I was sharing stuff for the sake of sharing, it became all about what people wanted and what they wanted more of. People showed their true colors...yet they still downloaded the f*cking things. It stopped becoming worth the aggravation. I hope everyone liked the stuff I posted because it certainly didn't feel as if anyone appreciated it. It was all about more more more.
Yipes! that's pretty lame, i must say. How sad, and strange.

Oh, I just want to say thanks to Tiff as well for sharing it with us!
It reminds me of mid-nineties "mature artist" pop cheese. It also sounds like the musical sister of Sheryl Crow's song "C'mon C'mon." The similarities in sound are eerie.

C'mon C'mon is great IMO - maybe it is just the words - I am ambivilent (sp.?) about the music though

I like C'mon C'mon. I think the music is too overpowering at times, but I enjoy it. I'm not really into the whole theme running in the lyrics like some people, just like I'm not into "baby, don't leave me" songs. But the album C'mon C'mon is great. SO overproduced but such a guilty pleasure.

Sorry, I don't mean to turn this thread into a Sheryl Crow discussion!
I think her self-titled '96 album and The Globe Sessions are outstanding. They have two of my all-time favorite songs from any artist, Redemption Day and Member's Only. Member's Only makes me laugh hysterically every time I hear it. Love that song.

Definitely. You're right about it sounding forced, though, especially since she was going through a tough time emotionally before and during the making of it.

I know - I liked it - but the songs seemed somewhat contrived - just a little. And - her voice, while good, rubs me the wrong way at times. BUT - I totally respect her musicianship and like her.

The voice is too high-pitched at times and very thin sounding at the same time. But I thought she sounded stellar on Safe and Sound.

I wonder if she has a lower range I bet she does but is too comfortable in the higher Again, she is VERY talented - so please no one miscontrue my post as anything Strand being hypercritical of a great artist!!!!!!

Well, it's no Edge or anything, but it's ok. I changed my mind about it. I like the chorus mainly.

The first part of My Heart where Stevie starts to sing I did not like. I don't like the way she sounds on the first chorus. The song is growing on me, however.

This Bombay Sapphires is OK. It kind of reminds me of something that you would hear in a new age gift shop.

My heart. I like it. haven't changed my mind about Bombay, yet, though this new one is way better.

Yes, the alternate Bombay Sapphires came from this disc. As far as I could tell that was the only track that was different.
