See, there, that's good. I'd be good at that, but I often forget what I say about 3 seconds after I've said it, like a f*ckin' goldfish or some junk, and therefore can't really repeat myself.

In other news, here's why I shouldn't take a lot of NyQuil even if I have a cold. 16 year old cousin texts me, saying, "Chello!"

Naturally, I respond, "Oboe!"

Y'know, as one does.

She writes back, "...wtf?"

"...you said 'chello!' so I said 'oboe!' because I thought we were greeting each other as if we were members of an orchestra, only you misspelled 'cello'...?"

"yeah, no, that was a typo."

"Oh. Well, my bad, then. How's it?"

I feel that was an honest mistake that could've happened to anybody, but whatever.

next time try a single-reed woodwind. people are easily confused by the double-reeds.

I'm not surprised. After all, the Rainbows End in Paradise Valley;
and if you're going to be a woman running in the shadows, then
you've got to have Unicorns that eat rainbows and poop butterflies...

Horses tend to live until around 30. They are typically all done jumping by 20 LATEST but they can be ridden fairly late in their lives depending on the individual horse's health.

Fair enough, madam. Fair. Enough.

Also, see, I went with oboe because it's a funny-sounding word and I didn't want to deingrate the noble French horn by making it participate in my shenanigans.

But the NyQuil thing is a great example of why no one should ever give me their cell phone numbers or let me text them. One day, it's oboes, and the next thing you know, I'm texting you at 4 AM, in a froth over how I can genetically engineer David Bowie's huge pants in Serious Moonlight with David Byrne's big suit in Stop Making Sense in order to make stylish yet cost effective clothing for the morbidly obese.

True story.

Fortunately, that friend is still speaking to me.

Y'know, somewhat.

well, that's why god made clarinets. it's not as funny a word as oboe, but it has no nobility to speak of.

At my old job, we had a group of customer service girls from the Midwest that I loving referred to as the Polygamy-Cult-Hair Brigade, on account of their penchant for really long straggly hair and incredibly architecturally coiffed bangs.
