i never really disliked Silver Girl altho i cant say i love either.
However Smile at You and Illume which I originally thought were a bit crappy are growing on me a lot, I love listening to them even just for the lyrics.

Yeah, I REALLY like Silver Girl. I only had to hear it maybe twice before I was hooked. I'm not sure why so many people dislike it.

Strangely enough, my least favorite songs are Peacekeeper and Say You Will. But the industry ususally takes my least favorite song and makes it the single. Go figure.

I never disliked "Silver Girl," either. It's not my favorite song on the CD, but I don't think it's bad.

Yeah...I don't know what the deal with this song is....a lot of people seem to dislike it though...I'm not one of those, I think it may very be one of the weakest songs on the album...but I really like...I liked it the first time I heard it...

As I had posted on the "worst Stevie song" thread (for all the people who were saying they hated it), that at first I didn't like it very much. As you listen to it though, it will grow on you. I told everyone to give it another chance. That it might grow on them too.

I didn't like Silver Girl when I first heard it, and I still don't like it. I admit, some songs do grow on me and eventually turn into my favorite songs, but this isn't one of them. Smile at You is a big disappointment as well after getting used to the demo. Running through the Garden is fantastic as is Thrown Down. Those are classic Stevie! Bill

I felt that way about Goodbye Baby. At first I did not care for it as I was so much in love with the demo version and felt the new arrangement and Stevie's lower vocals on it weren't the same but now it is one of my favorites!

Same here!

Actually, I still haven't been able to sit through the entire song. About half way through I start to grit my teeth and wish for a quick death.

I never liked this song from the first time I heard it. I always skip it on the radio BUT...the other day..I forced myself to listen to the whole thing, since alot of you like it here, and well....its growing on me too. I just think this song should have been saved for her solo album.

From worst to best - here's my list:

Illume (sorry, guys - can't stand it)
Silver Girl
Smile At You (these are the only three I don't like)
Everyone Finds Out
What's The World Coming To
Thrown Down
Murrow
Running Through The Garden
Come
Miranda
Goodbye Baby
Peacekeeper
Steal Your Heart Away
Bleed To Love Her
Say You Will
Destiny Rules
Say Goodbye
Red Rover

You can probably tell my tastes through this...

LOL - I must say I like the song and do not skip it. However, it really is so benign, it could/should have been a SN solo song. It sort of is the definition of easy listening. But, to each their own. And, I think it was ridiculous to exclude the brilliant "Space Needle" for "Silver Girl."
