They did? Fleetwood Mac has testified under oath and they lied? Just wishing it so doesn't make it true you know.

His timing is perfect.
Well he had to wait for the tour to actually happen before he could request damages. Which tells me he really wants the money. He could have filed sooner and FM could have said never mind we're not going on tour right now.

I doubt Lindsey really needs the money. He's got the highest net worth of any of his former band members. In this world, unfortunately, money is the marker of value, for better or worse. So a lawsuit is really Lindsey's only option at this point to show his importance in FM.

You really should read the whole thread before posting your usual 20 individual replies. I've already explained that.

There's a whole set of provocative photos of him from that event.

Thanks, jwd! I enjoy reading your posts. I'll be the first to admit I've gotten angry here and said/wrote things that weren't cool, but I realized this board is nothing to get angry about. I love reading reasonable posts here, it helps me see things from a different pov.

I think we're all guilty of that. Oh, by the way, you can call me Joe! Looking forward to reading your posts.

I would do the same thing.

I think it’s a little of both. His biggest motivation is definitely the money. That’s what the lawsuit is aiming at afterall, and he did state that he’s been trying (in private) to get the band to give him a cut of the proceeds or some other kind of settlement for about 8 months now.
But also, it’s gotta be somewhat about making his point and getting somebody to listen. If the band members won’t talk to him and management isn’t working with him, he probably thinks filing this suit is the only way to get them to respond and acknowledge him.

I've already said this is an emotional reaction. But he also wants the money. Frankly I don't think he should be paid for a tour he wasn't on.

i also think it's about having been publicly humiliated and publicly accused of something he didn't do. He's got kids, old enough to understand what's going on, to see their dad treated this way. not saying it's his main motivation, but i think he has a certain amount of pride at stake as well in front of his family.

What was he accused of that he didn't do?

if he had an oral contract for said tour he IS entitled to money. Maybe not the full amount but a nice amount. That was his main way of making money (not that he needs it) and they fired him. If the same thing happened to Stevie she would be entitled.
