Exclamation Hello and welcome...

the last time they were posted online (To my knowledge) was over at Dimeadozen.org (That torrent is long since dead, but maybe someone will reseed it.)

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=67019

Lindsey Buckingham - Gift Of Screws
Unreleased album from 2000 / 2001

joeyjay notes: This is a re-seed from February 2005, originally
posted by fmfanuk, who gets all due credit here. This is fabulous stuff, and all original files are included. The only difference is the actual folder name, which I had to create because person who archived it for me went inside the folder before saving all the files. Anyway, I know this was a hugely popular DL at the time but thought I'd offer up again for those who missed it or are relatively new to DIME. Thanks again to fmfanuk for the original share. The original notes are below. Enjoy ...

Linage: CDR -> EAC -> WAV -> FLAC

Lindsey Buckingham's hugely anticipated follow-up to his 1992 masterpiece 'Out Of The Cradle', Gift Of Screws was recorded in the years that followed Cradle right up until 2000, the album was submitted to the record company 'Warners Brothers (Reprise) and a decision was taken not to release the album but to re-record the tracks with Fleetwood Mac and release them on the next Fleetwood Mac studio album 'Say You Will' which was released in 2003.

MP3s of this CD surfaced on the internet in 2001 and are believed to be the mixed tracks but not mastered tracks from "Gift Of Screws", recording date believed to be 2000 / 2001, this collection is a copy of the submitted CD of Gift Of Screws.

This collection contains the only copy of the lossless files currently in circulation. No editing of the tracks have been done and the songs are brought to you exactly as on the CD.

There's a copy going on www.throwndown.net.

If not, have a word in the forums and I'm sure someone will help.

At one point there was a lossless solo version of Peacekeeper. Anyone seen that or can someone post it? And if there's one of "Big Yellow Taxi"...

Thanks,
John

Default long time

I not sure if this is just me, but are torrent file downloads supposed to take a long time? I downloaded software to change files from throwndown.net and I am always keep getting a little window on my computer saying there is one more day to go. Before it was saying there were 14 hours to go, then 16, and now it's up to a day and 17 hours. It also saying 11 percent has been downloaded.

Is this normal? I havenot done this before.

In short. Yes, it can take a long time to download a torrent file. It all depends on how many people are seeding the file that you are receiving. The more seeders the better and quicker you will receive.

For more information, I point you in the direction of the chit chat area of this site where there's a thread called "What the hell is a torrent file"... alot of helpful information can be located here:

I dunno if I did something wrong downloading them, but while the sound quality blows away the old MP3's, I cannot bring myself to listen to them because the beginnings are missing off some of the songs.

Did I do something wrong or do they all have the beginning of some of the songs missing?
