The London Rock Orchestra does Albatross
Have you guys heard this?
http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/wind...071437,00.html You can get it on iTunes. It starts out sounding almost exactly like the original but then these strings start coming in with a flourish. Then it raises to this majestic wave. I could see them using the original in a movie at the beginning or during the opening credits and using this version for the grand finale where something really big and emotional happens. Although, I must say. As fun as this is, it's an odd sort of cover because it totally changes the whole feel of the song taking it from a mellow, almost atmospheric, song into this really grand huge thing. But if you Albatross it's definitely worth listening to. And you can buy worse things for a buck. I haven't really listened to the rest of the album. |

I just listened to te samples.
Like you said, it's fun. But no more than that. I don't think I would like to spend about 10 bucks to own this, but it's okay to listen one time and have a smile on your face. |
