J Newsom (NPR Guest DJ) Plays Lindsey

on All Songs Considered, Nov 30, Joanna Newsom played some tracks to indicate some of her influences. She played my favorite singer, Sandy denny, which surpirsed me, and she played Lindsey's "Shut Us Down"

**on edit, I just noticed that Stereogum music blog mentioned this show, so if you read Stereogum, you will already have gotten this info. I only read Steregum sporadically, and look at the NPR music pages sproadically,so I had missed it.

Cool! Yeah, it doesn't really surprise me that she likes Lindsey.

Awesome.

And more proof that Lindsey's new album is being played in "cooler" circles, because Joanna Newsom is pretty much as cool as it gets at the moment.

I love Joanna Newsom. She just played 3 sold out shows in SF and I'm bummed I missed her. She's also our mayor's cousin.
