Default RIP Alan Thicke

Does anyone remember the late night show "Thicke of the Night." In 1983 he hosted Mick Fleetwood and the Zoo. I was blown away because Mick did not get many solo TV gigs back in the day. Alan was a fan of the Mac and asked many questions about the future of Fleetwood Mac. I remember Billy Burnette laughing at one of the questions because in 1983 the status of the Mac was really an unknown. Alan's show was ahead of its time because Carson was stale with old time performers. Alan's show had current new and current artists but the show was a flop and was cancelled after a year. It was not until Aresenio Hall that that kind of "hip" show took off.

I remember that, wish there was a you-tube of that now (is there?). There was also a talk show on Canadian tv before that I seem to remember so he was well rehearsed by the time he was starting Thicke Of the Night. Alan also wrote and co-wrote theme music for tv including Different Strokes and Facts Of Life as well as game shows Wheel Of Fortune and Diamond Head (which was from Hawaii and featured a glass booth with money flying around).

I checked youtube and nothing from the show. I remember they also played the entire video of Gypsy during Mick and the Zoo's interview. I wish somehow we could see that footage again. Alan was a fan and had a real interest in the Mac so his interview was so good.
