Yes, that makes sense.
Then she should have gracefully left.
Not given an ultimatum and then lied on TV.

'Bill Gamelson' is someone who's been mentioned previously on this board, I think some here have knowledge of him. It appears he's been stalking Stevie and her family for many years and has some mental health issues.

This time he may have really lost it. Right now he is posting dozens of alarming messages and comments on her FB page (check visitor posts recent days). I think he is planning to go to upcoming Phoenix show Wednesday and is talking about something happening there of violent nature.

I won't engage with him, I just think it should be directly reported to authorities but I am way overseas amd little clue how to get through to someone.

Stevie probably doesn't monitor her own FB page, that would be her management responsibility but I'm seeing no sign of action being taken?

Did he really manage to get this close to Lindsey at recent show? I wouldn't allow him near any member - security should have record of this individual and prevent this close access. This is so scary. But unfortunately perhaps what celebrities have to contend with quite frequently in their lives.

https://www.facebook.com/10000905459...8918102419989/

(I think he also has some other accounts with various names, Billy etc, and he posts to himself with them...)

Don't know how serious it really is but so many awful things have happened at recent shows by various artists and it puts everyone else at risk. I feel it should perhaps be looked into, safety has to be first priority.

Again, sorry if shouldn't post it here, but hope can be sorted out.
Wow just finished reading the visitor posts, his comments are REALLY creepy and alarming to say the least!! Hopefully whoever is in charge of Stevie's FB acc, has let the Authorities know about this nut case!! He should not be allowed anywhere near her concert venue..

He's also on Twitter and posted sick stuff there as well. God knows what would be in her inbox. https://twitter.com/Bill_Gamelson/st...21755024429056

I'm in Australia and noticed it yesterday - tried reporting it somewhere through an online form, but got no response and it's still going today. If her management are aware of it I don't know why it's continuing. They likely don't bother looking at all posts/messages because there'd be so many that they receive.

If I reported it to Facebook I'm not convinced they'd investigate it fully or follow it up as much as it should be.

I think he may have a ticket for Wednesday show in Phoenix, don't know when the band are due to be arriving there but they should probably try to take care of this before then.
I didn't realize your a fellow Aussie, maybe you could try private messaging via F/B to her niece or someone like that.. He mentions some horrible things about Jessie and Chris.. He needs to be locked up, unfortunately 90% of the time the Authorities dont act until something serious has already happened. This dude is seriously messed up!! and building up to something bad to happen that's for sure. Yep and he mentioned Phoenix

Omg, that's really scary. He's a very disturbed person. Definitely report it.
Seeing him with Lindsey gave me the shivers.

Posting here because think it may be better if someone closer geographically can make a report. I think his usual location is Kansas. Again, sorry for being OT but didn't know where else to go with this, and very concerned. I would class this as a 'terroristic threat'.

I don't know any of them on social media and am a complete stranger, so they'd probably take no notice of me, but thought perhaps someone else here may know a person who can be contacted.

I'll try to open my PMs again if anyone wishes to send me a message instead of posting here.

ETA still trying to sort this out, no response from authorities. I think he's now in Oklahoma heading to Phoenix show, still posting disturbing messages like this one https://www.facebook.com/19045038763...4358157240926/ My feeling is that at the show he will try to provoke security and threaten to do something unless he can talk to Stevie. Idk if he has a VIP pass, I wouldn't have thought he could get one but he did for the Lindsey show earlier this month and I think this may have emboldened him.

Very recent post (GA stands for 'guardian angel'?)
I'm confused. As weird as these messages are I don't see how they're violent.

Good on you!

I wasn't able to view the FB posts, but the screenshot you shared was worrying enough (singertobe, did you read that screenshot?).

I imagine it would be close to impossible to take any actual pre-emptive action on these things short of there being a clearly worded threat, but if the situation and his details are shared in advance, at least the respective security teams can be briefed and on the lookout.

On a less serious note--genuinely crazy fans like this give us regular crazy fans a bad name.

Bill was a nutcase even back in the mid 90s on the old AOL boards. I can’t believe he’s resurfacing.

I remember him from the old aol boards...he was a troll who said things just to get a reaction from us. Its a dangerous game he is playing in today’s day and age. On a positive note, I highly doubt Stevie is in any danger from him. If he reads this thread he’ll thrive off the attention and then he will crawl back under his rock.

@reebokandlace - I don't want to use his name again but he's really gone off deep end and been doing this persistently all year, without getting attention. Very few respond to him except his own alias accounts. Anyway, I think it's been passed on and is being taken care of. So that's it. Would like to say thanks to those who helped out, I've removed it now and won't be here anymore. Pls continue folks with the original thread topic.

I could say the same about someone else who used to be on The Ledge and had what appeared to be a major meltdown on social media. A shame though, because this wasn't a mean person...just a little obsessed.

I did NOT have a major meltdown on social media.

Lots of people go whack in the Stevie Nicks fan culture. Even the former fan-mail woman went whack back in the 90s on rec.music.artists.stevie-nicks. She infiltrated the channel, turned her vicious aides-de-camp on the rest of us, and we finally ousted her and them. But by that time, the psychic damage had been done, and we spent the remainder of our Usenet days bickering among ourselves, out of gas. We were so enervated by that point that even the news from Stevie Nicks reps that the fan-mail gal had been fired didn't fill us with much joy.

The whole culture is rife with impersonators, drag queens who believe they're Stevie, and sociopaths.

Christine's fans are relatively mild. One often latches on to her base just to find some quiet sanity.

The sad thing is that petep9000 probably believes we have a clear idea to whom he's referring. However, there are so many Stevie fans who have major meltdowns on social media that I can think of a half dozen candidates off of the top of my head that would fit the bill, and that's only counting meltdowns from the last few months!

Well, it's hard to imagine dramatic types being drawn to Christine, and the problems are often caused more by the drama queens and the deluded than by the drag queens and the impersonators (although the categories are not mutually exclusive). Of course, the sociopaths are never nice to have around! The deluded include not only those who think they're Stevie, but also those that think they have some kind of special intimacy with Stevie that makes her "theirs", and no one else can understand her, no one else can truly love her like they do... those people scare me, too.

Usenet is before my time. I struggle to remember my first crazy fan experience. They kind of all blend together after a while.

As for the topic... this song came into my head earlier today, and I was thinking that it's an "unpopular opinion" that this demo is good:

Yes, it is flawed in more ways than one. There's something about it, however, that I find quite moving.

I have no idea what you're talking about but your post makes me glad I mostly just listen to the music and not try to know everything about the band's personal lives.
