Default Fleetwood Mac Milestone on Spotify

Go Your Own Way has become the first Fleetwood Mac song to reach 400,000,000 plays on Spotify. Dreams will follow very soon, it is about 100,000 behind.

It's credit to Fleetwood Mac's enduring popularity, for a band of their era they have very good Spotify stats - Eagles, for example, beat them with Hotel California, but their next best song is 221,000,000.

I'm so sick of Dreams! I guess it's great the masses like it though.
Go Your Own Way deserves its place.

I agree. I'm sick of Dreams. It's weird how some songs wear you out, and yet you never get sick of others.

Dreams is amazing. Never get tired of it. The Chain deserves it. What about Gypsy and Rhiannon?

I can handle Dreams studio on a nice system, the separation is amazing.

What about Don't Stop?

3) The Chain - 379,572,000
4) Everywhere - 320,895,00
5) Landslide - 266,988,000
6) Little Lies - 146,375,000
7) Rhiannon - 140,217,000
8) Don't Stop - 120,120,000

Wow! Chain was never a single so that's impressive.

Surprised by Never Going Back Again being in the top 10. I guess its because its a Rumours track. Even then, I'd expect it lower than Gold Dust Woman, Songbird and maybe even You Make Loving Fun.

I am not surprised that NGBA is there. But now that you mention YMLF, I did expect it to rank higher.

The flaw of the song is that loving is fun normatively. It doesn't take something out of the ordinary to make it so.

Do these statistics include all versions of a song, including live performances, or just official studio recordings?
On reflection I'm quite surprised Big Love isn't in the top 10. For starters its a killer song, with a great video that charted highly in numerous countries. But also, the live version took on a life of its own, to the extent its virtually a different song. I'd have though loads of people would have played the live version, especially. Its been played to death to the extent we're a bit bored of it now...but lets face it, for a long while it was one of the big highlights of the show.
