I think by then he would've long since not been shocked by anything lol. I remember reading somewhere once when he was asked about her and Mick and he made a point of how he and Stevie had been broken up for a while by then and she's had a lot of boyfriends since. And he said "a lot" again for emphasis

I've always wondered how dysfunctional Stevie seems to be in terms of relationships. She was only married once, to her best friends' husband.?! How many relationships has she had with married men? She's never seen with anyone in a serious long term committed relationship (Waddy was always seen escorting her to all the big time events). Lindsey is in a successful marriage with three beautiful children. What is wrong with her? Is this the lifestyle she chooses? Is this what is driving her mad in the last years of her life? That she has not found true happiness with a soulmate? Her looks are fading and her star is dimming.......What is the key to her happiness?

And she's just so full of herself now, and wrapped up in it, that it's too late now. That's her life. Which is sad, at the end of the game.

A balanced, intelligent and quite fair description of her life and headspace right now. Thank you She is very far removed from reality now and no one is capable of bringing her back. Lindsey may have been able to but that relationship is no longer in existence. |

I guess it's all about being up on that stage where thousands can adore her and tell her how great she is. But hey, she does it for us, to take away our pain for a little while. She writes for us, or at least she did, until she found out it wasn't going to make her money. I never really bought the reason that no man would ever want to be in a relationship with someone who has to go out on the road and leave them behind for months at a time. Or that a man would be jealous of her fame and fortune. There are countless other performers that are married or are in successful relationships. Could it be that Stevie is so self centered that she doesn't want to dedicate her time to being in a relationship? Her business I suppose. I just hope that dancing around in her apartment for the next ten years makes her happy.

If I remember well there's a bootleg outed by Brian Wilson's official forum sites of a song called "Stevie" that apparently Brian wrote for/about her and their relationship around 1980 and produced by Dennis.

Yes, and I believe the name of the bootleg is "The Cocaine Sessions" or something like that. The song is a real stinker. No offense to Beach Boys fans. I love them, especially Brian.
