Question Favorite vocal not listening to music...

Hey there, I'm just wondering what your favorite vocals on FM/SN/LB/CM songs were? By not really paying attention to music, but concentrating on the vocal. I know I am probably asking a stupid question, since we love ALL the vocals or we wouldn't be FM fans, but which vocals knock you out. My list would be...

Mystery To Me:

Hypnotized - Love Bob's voice, it's really sexy on this song.

Fleetwood Mac:

Rhiannon - One of THE catchiest songs EVER.

Crystal - Lindsey singing this is sigh-inducing, plus I've heard the Stevie version, and I think Lindsey sings it better.

I'm So Afraid - This IS my fave FM song, but not only because of the music, but I love his vocals on this, esp. the Live 1980 album version, it's so AWESOME!!

Rumours

Second Hand News - The "do it, do it, do it" part and the bam bam's, nuff said. LOL

Dreams - Wow, her voice is sooooo sexy on this song. LOVE IT!

Oh Daddy - I LOVE Christine's vocals on this as well as the bgv's that Lindsey and Stevie do, the "you're so strong" part, sigh...

Tusk

What Makes You Think You're the One - Oh my, the humming, I LOVE THE HUMMING AT THE END!!!

Storms - Beautiful vocals, very sad sounding and soft.

That's All for Everyone - "Must be just exactly what I need..." LOVE THAT!!

Brown Eyes - Christine's SEXIEST song, EVER!! And the Sha-la-la's....

Never Make Me Cry - Wow, ironically, this song makes me wanna cry...

Beautiful Child - The bgv's from Lindsey singing, "Oooh, ooh, ooh.." WOW, love THAT!!! GREAT vocals from SN too.

Live 1980

Fireflies - I love the melody in the song.

Rhiannon - Duh.

I'm So Afraid - Love it any way I can get it...AND the vocals are AWESOME here.

Farmer's Daughter - Love the harmonies.

Mirage

Love in Store - I really do love the vocals, "Never take your love away..."

Can't Go Back - "face as soft as, a tear in a clowns eye.." I love this one too.

Gypsy - Dur. "Lightnin strikes, maybe once, maybe twice..." Oh Lindsey...sigh...

Only Over You - Oh, I just love this song, so pretty, love her voice.

Straight Back - "Fingers find the ivory.....keys and a song begins to begin, like a wolf on the RUN..." LOVE the way she sings ivory and keys with that pause.

Tango in the Night

Geez, this is tough, Tango being my fave album and all...let me put the song I don't care for AT ALL, vocally or musically.

When I See You Again - BLECK!!

The Dance

TOO tough, I love it ALL vocally!!!

Law and Order

Trouble - He almost whispers the song, GREATNESS!!

Shadow of the West - WOW, those bgv's from Christine make it GORGEOUS!!!

Go Insane

Go Insane - "two kinds of people in this world, winners...losers.."
YUM! LOVE the vocals.

Slow Dancing - Sigh...

Loving Cup - Love the frenetic singing on this one.

Out of the Cradle

Toooooo tough, but I don't really like the vocals on Turn It On very much, the part, "ooooooooooooooooooon.."

If I HAD to pick favorites, they would be

Countdown - "waitin on the countdown, ba ba ba..." LOVE the bababa's!!! LOL

SoulDrifter - GREATNESS!!

Surrender the Rain - AAAHH!!!! GREATNESS!!!!!!

Doing What I Can - "I go to slee-heep, things left undu-hun..." I LOVE THAT!! The low and high vocal!!

Buckingham Nicks

Long Distance Winner - "Sunflowers and your face fascinate me..." I love her vocals on this one!!

Races are Run - The harmonies near the middle of the song, "that there might still be mooooooooooore..." LOVE IT!!

Frozen Love - CMON, nuff said!!!!

So, what are your fave vocals?

Buckingham Nicks - Crystal. (Original, Lindsey vocals).

White Album - I'm So Afraid (the original is not musically my fav. version, but the vocals on it are incredible.)

Rumours - The joint vocals of Lindsey, Stevie and Christine on The Chain.

Tusk - Save Me A Place. (Lindsey harmonising with himself.)

Mirage - Gypsy (Stevie's "loooooooooooove" gets me everytime!)
and also Oh Diane (Lindsey's obviously 1950's influenced voice.)

Tango In The Night - I would have said Christine's vocals on Mystified only 2 weeks ago....but ever since I accidentally received the demo of Mystified with Lindsey singing the lead...his voice is incredible! That's definitely my fav.

The Dance - Lindsey's vocals on Big Love from the New York performance, and also I'm So Afraid from the same performance. These really impress me because the recording is "raw"..i.e. it hasn't been "tweaked" in the studio, unlike "The Dance" album.

Go Insane - Slow Dancing. ("Agggghhhhhhhhhhh the days are short........)

Out Of The Cradle - Doing What I Can and Soul Drifter live in New Britain and You Do or You Don't - Live Center Stage.

Favourite FM vocal moment ever: "If I could, baby I'd give you my world, open up, everything's waiting for you". End of the second verse of Go Your Own Way, live in L.A. Mirage '82 Tour (video.)

Lightbulb Stevie's solo albums...

Because it was late and I was tired, I didn't get to put Stevie's solo albums (that I own) on my list...so here they are...

Bella Donna

Stop Draggin My Heart Around - "I said yeah, well, what am I supposed to do...." I love the vocals.

Edge of 17 - "ooh, ooh, said ooh..." Greatness!

The Wild Heart

Stand Back - Tied for fave solo with Edge of 17, I LOVE the way she says, "fine" at the beginning of the song.

Rock a Little

I Can't Wait - "She dances around in a circle, well she's got that feeling now, blame it on something at first sight, put the blame on me if you want to...to be continued" LOVE THAT PART!!

Trouble in Shangri-La

TISL - "You can consume all the beauty in the room, baby, I know you can, I've seen you do it..." Fave part!

Sorcerer - I love her singing this with Lindsey the best, but I just love the song!!

Planets - "you and I, will simply disappear, out of sight, but I'm afraid soon they'll be no light..." and the part in the remix, with the "other verse", "you will remember, but I will die a slow death..." GREATNESS!!

I Miss You - GREATNESS!!!! She almost sounds like a young girl singing to her great love...

Fall from Grace - I esp loved it live on the Blockbuster Awards, THAT was great!!

Thumbs up Harmony Heaven

This post has got me bumming a little about how Christine's voice
is no longer gonna be part of the mix
Their three voices together was one of the main things to me
that set them apart from the rest

Anyway... in "Rumours" era order...
1)Say You Love Me
2)The Chain
3)Think About Me
4)Over and Over
5)Eyes Of The World
6)Seven Wonders
7)Silver Springs

Hi

This demo is not to be missed by ANY Lindsey fan...his voice sounds incredible....totally high pitched....just like the original version of I'm So Afraid.

You can find it quite easily on Audiogalaxy. Search under "FM Demos Mystified".

If you can't find it let me know and I'll email it to you.
