Is anyone else having problems getting onto Christine's own site?

I couldn't get it to open last night or this morning.

It's back now. I just got in. I hadn't been able to access the website since Saturday morning, I think. I was afraid they'd shut it down, right before her birthday! Maybe, hackers got in over the weekend. I doubt that it had anything to do with what happened on Thursday(the terrorist attacks).

I was hoping they might have been uploading the answers to our questions - and then I woke up.

I tried to open it last night and it never loaded. I know that's old, irrelevant news at this point, but just to tell you that you weren't the only one.

I just checked her website again & her website is fine, but the message board isn't working. It says something about a critical error. I wonder if they're removing the message board. It looks like they may be doing something with the message board/website.

By the way, like Gail, the thought also occurred to me that they might be adding the answers from the Q & A.

Yeah, probably taking it down entirely.

When was that site's last update? Six months ago? It's a goner. It was up in order to drum up a little interest in the new solo album. It has served its purpose at this point.

I HOPE they don't take it down. How much does it cost to maintain a site like hers? The forum is just about all I checked out daily.

I often check out the forum also, and I still love the video clips.

The rest of the website is still up & running. If I were you, I'd download the video clips, just in case they take the entire site down. I did that a long time ago, then copied them to CD. I'm sure you wouldn't want to lose them forever.

Sadly I think the website is done. The webmaster is obviously not active in doing anything on the site anymore, the contest was a bust and nothing is really going on there any longer. Just the occasional posts from some fans.

Too bad, because I remember how exciting it was when the site went up.

I agree. But, it's not unusual for a website started by a record label, for the sole purpose of promoting a specific album, to eventually fizzle out. I hope they at least keep the site up & running. I do understand about the message board, though. That was fun while it lasted. As for the contest, you really shouldn't promise what you can't deliver, although that hasn't changed my opinion of Christine at all. She's still the best, in my book at least.
