^I guess I have to keep this for the last bow.

Stevie is 100% correct. Get a board from somewhere else, get a police escort. If this show had been cancelled it would have felt AWFUL. I think it would be the most horrible thing. They play 10/23. We get the announcement and then we don't get the Amsterdam show. That's a heartwrenching note.

I'm glad it took place and surprised that Silver Springs wasn't dropped.

Wow. Dancing across the stages of the world. Did Barbara Nicks keep a baby book? Most four year olds talk non-stop anyway, but I have to believe that Stevie did especially. Woman probably aged 10 years by the time her daughter went off to kindergarten.

I'm not The Mentalist, but I firmly believe from Stevie's demeanor during that last speech that she thinks things are going to be ok.

Would you mind to tell me which Rhiannon that was? I've read alot about GDW and SOTM being fantastic, but Rhiannon seemed not so popular this tour.

I've got the impression that you picked up the feel of this show perfectly. Pretty impressive to do that from some clips. It was not possible t describe it in words.

Lindsey always leaves the stage VERY quickly at the end, for this tour. I think he has a train to catch.

During past tours, sometimes he would stay in the wings and wait for Mick to finish saying, "the Mac is back." But this tour he is OUT OF THERE at the end. He makes the Say Goodbye intro his last speech and shakes hands with the audience earlier and then just darts off every night following that bow.

yes. he doesn't hang out backstage where they are between the encores either. looking at the show from the side of the stage, it looked like he's probably all the way out the arena before Steve is halfway through her dreamcatcher speech.

Really? I notice that he usually books it off stage quick but how do you not say bye or hang with the band for a little bit after being on stage? I thought LB was the one that wants to keep touring forever!

Also why does everyone keep acting like the landslide dedication was so "final"? I'm going with the theory that Stevie just wanted to get that all out just incase god forbid something happens and it is their last time. The whole John thing probably put a new perspective on things. I am getting the impression that they truly will do anything to be back...they haven't canceled the Vegas show yet!!!

i think i described it before, maybe in the first Amsterdam thread... after the show he seemed pretty drained, there were several guys tossing a huge towel over him as he was walking, like a boxer after the fight, and they walked fast out of the stage area with LB in the middle. seems to be similar routine with Mick after he's done with his "the mac is back" speech.

they'll all see each other the very next day so... not like they need a huge bye offstage after they just did it onstage, practically every other night.

First of all I'd like to thank everyone for posting videos of this concert tour as I was not able to see them live this time around.Stevie REALLY eats up her intros don't you think? She lives for that admiration.I remember at the Heart and Souls concert,Rod called her onstage to do a duet and the look on her face as she walked over to the mike was pure dissatisfaction and dismay (even a little pouty!).You see,she did her set 1st followed by Rod and the audience's reception/participation in Rod's set was 10 times what Stevie's was(in Philly anyway). And I think she did not handle this "second best" situation very well.I think she really, truly needs this to feel complete and loved,IMO.

Yes, I think we saw an example of that in the show they did around New Year's Eve in 2003. It was for one of those count down shows. Not Dick Clark, but you know one of those kinds of shows, where they have entertainers live, but they also cut to FM via satellite. I think it's on Youtube.

FM may have been in Europe but the show was American. They went and interviewed them after a concert. Stevie and Mick were giggling, holding hands and kind of delirious. They did all of the talking. They were all sitting on a sofa. Mick kept saying, "we're not dead yet." John was quiet, but I couldn't tell if he was just his usual quiet or fatigued quiet. Lindsey was an absolute ZOMBIE. He stared straight ahead. Mick kept saying they weren't dead, but I wasn't sure if Lindsey was or not. He had run around the stage like a madman for 2 hours and his battery was just GONE after the show.
