Never heard of this band and I'm not fond of their cover of Never Forget either.
But, looking into the band, I found this on their site: So some of you may be wondering what's been happening in the Cut Copy camp of late. 'They've gone all quiet' I hear you cry... 'I heard that mitchell compound fractured his arm in a bar brawl with Knightlife and may never drum again'... 'I heard they went to LA to record but instead and have been camped in a tent outside Lindsay Buckingham's Laurel Canyon estate'... 'I heard their synths short circuited after being submerged in water tank'. Well in actual fact there is some truth to each of these rumours, but in honesty we've actually been quite busy. |

I can't download yet. I'll do it at home, but I'm really excited to have a Never Forget mix. Didn't see that coming. Thanks.

It's not a Fleetwood Mac mix, but a cover band.

I'm a huge fan of Cut Copy and I know thay are majorly into Tusk-era Mac and Lindsay's stuff... Their song "Strangers In The Wind" beautifully and subtly samples the guitar lines from "Over and Over" - well worth a listen. Their album is called "In Ghost Colours"
This particular track is neither a remix or a cover version. Its just an excerpt from a "Mixtape" - basically a recorded DJ set where tracks are manipulated and mixed to flow together. In this case Never Forget has been speeded up ever so slightly to match the tempo of the following electronic track called "So Electric" by a band called Lifelike. Thats why it sounds a bit odd and not quite like Christine singing... Anyway - my main point is that Cut Copy are brilliant, the perfect mix of indie and electro music and their tunes are fantastic, even if more than a little reminiscent of New Order at times!
