Question any news yet on new DVD-Audio remasters?

Hi there,

Since the Rumours DVD-Audio came out in 2001, no other titles of the Mac´s back catalog have yet appeared. As the sound of this particular title is really amazing, it now would seem to me an appropriate time frame to release the white Fleetwood Mac 1975 album, Tusk, F-Mac Live 1980 (preferably containing an entire Tusk Tour concert + the 3 extra tracks Fireflies, One More Night and The Farmer´s Daughter), Mirage and Tango In The Night.

Of course regular 24 bit upgraded remasters with expanded booklets and bonus/alternate tracks are welcome too for all of us who haven´t got a DVD-A player.

So what´s your opinion on this?

Greetz,

BuckMacNicks.

Hi BlueGrass,

is Ken Caillat only doing the Tusk album or is he working on the other titles I listed as well and do you know whether there is a release date or period yet for this/these title(s)?

I know he wanted to do all the titles, but right now he is doing "TusK" on his own I guess. A release date has not been set yet.

I was under the impression that Ken was also doing the White Album in addition to Tusk. I think he had e-mailed Neil(nodmod) about that last year. I thought originally he had mentioned that they might be released the first quarter of this year, but I guess it is taking longer than expected.

Default Update from Ken

from Ken...............

I'm sorry but I have no news on Chris's album, I'm told she's finishing guitars at her home in Canterbuy with her Nephew. They are still shopping a record deal. I have started mixing Tusk in 5.1 at my home studio in Thousand Oaks and Fleetwood Mac is rehearsing in Los Angeles for a new tour to support the new album coming out in May which Christine in not on and she's not touring with them either.
I hope to get back to London soon. I just need someone to hire me to do a record for them there!
Sincerely,
Ken Caillat

Default Say You Will also on DVD-Audio!!!

Yes Neil, I also want to thank you for contacting Ken himself about al this info, it´s great!

But I have news too!

I just found out at Amazon.com that Say You Will is also slated to be released April 15 as a DVD-Audio!! And the price is the same as the regular cd, $18.98. Of course being a Macfanatic and lover of the best sound possible, I immediately pre-ordered this plus the limited edition 2 cd set of Say You Will they have listed at $27.98. I´m so looking forward to finally hearing it and having it in my hands!!

I wonder what the tracks on the 2nd disc will be, hopefully bonus tracks or perhaps the dress rehearsal gig of 46 minutes they did last Friday, now wouldn´t that be something else!! Or both of course, ha ha!

Greetz,

BuckMacNicks.
