There is no chance of Neil blowing out his voice trying to do two tours concurrently and bringing a subpar performance to the band's shows. He will do his stint while the band is off the road. Therein lies the difference. Good luck to both!

If there is new music, it will probably be a band effort. Neil AND Mike are producers, and the others are seasoned pros. Mike produced Marty Stewart’s latest album last year. All of it is dependent on how the tour goes.

And, I hope there’s a little conflict. Not on the level that leads to personal animosity, but leads to a better album.

This, and promoters won’t have to work harder to sell FM at MSG on Wednesday when LB is playing Jersey City on Thursday.

Makes me somewhat sick that you're already comparing newcomer Neil Finn to Lindsey "****ing" Buckingham!! Lindsey was with the band for over forty ****ing years!!! Neil Finn, a few months. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!

Good point. Mike and Neil could easily co-produce. Mitchell Froom would be my choice as producer given that he's previously produced Fleetwood Mac as well as Crowded House.

It’s not about Neil/Mike vs. Lindsey. They’re in, he’s not.

Neil and Mike have proven track records as producers. I’d rather have two guys in the band who have the inclination to be creative leaders producing the band than rely on outside producers. If the others are comfortable enough with these guys to want to make new music with them, then play on!

That's so cliche Steve. Surely you can do better than that.
