Well, that was me forever, too. It's too easy. It's actually hard to believe that 22yo's want to sleep with someone who's in his 40's, but hey, I not complaining!!! Last Friday, I was lucky enough to take a walk down memory lane!!!(with a former ex, not "the" ex)

But really, this past relationship changed everything for me. I've never felt that committed, and whole, as I did. I pretty much now only want commitment like that. It completed me, more so that I've ever been...and regardless of what 21-25yo's SAY, they're not ready for a relationship, or commitment. Thus, my new 30 and up rule, now. Although I still may make an occasional exception...

But I've started seeing a 30yo now, and the difference in maturity is startling(yes, different people have different maturity levels, regardless of age)! But it's so nice. We're going slow(4 weeks this week), and haven't done anything more than kiss, cuddle and hold hands. And I'm fine with that, until we figure out how we really feel. (of course I'm discounting the fact that I never realized the ex was batsh*t crazy, until I started seeing someone who's sane! I wouldn't go back now, if I was begged!)

I always wound up in the same trap. Also, always with wealthy guys that were pissed that I was unimpressed by money. LONG story short...I don't believe in coincidence ...I met my guy almost 10 years strong. Love, devotion, loyalty and trust...and the dirty part of the relationship is like its still in the honeymoon phase. I had been out to a club with a girl far from where we lived...as she came out to me and wanted to meet a girl but, was in the secret and afraid mode. We got home early and an ex friend had invited me to a party...so, being all slick from going out earlier I was like sure. I am in recovery from drugs and alcohol for a long time...and this friend knew it...the party was in a house directly across from my beloved Nana Mac's house where I grew up...and have the happiest memories that bring joy tears. Anyway, the party was a method and other drugs party. It was also an orgy. Sitting in the living room as naked drugged out guys were trying to tear my nice clothes off. I was trying to think of how to get home when in walked the man of my dreams...he looked at me and said, what is a hot classy guy like you doing here? So you know he said all the right things...and got me out ofaa there and loved me enough to get clean too. So, after 3he HIV tests we are grateful to be free from that sad disease that we both lost friends to. He was the first poor guy...Irish intercity Boston section called Dorchester/Southie. He got excited crossing the NH state border for tax free smokes. When you have been almost everywhere from my work...seeing San Fran and France, UK....etc...Taking a helicopter over the Grand Canyon ...I watched him in hidden tears...seeing all these places with someone you totally love...and they are a bit nervous and almost overwhelmed by scuba diving in the Carribiean et al...it is like seeing it all through his eyes of love...and its all new...and even better. Today were going strong. My secret to a strong relationship? Free from resentments and explosive fights where you say something you don't mean? We bicker our pissed offnesses inbetween laughter conversations and debates. Believe it or not I am a freelance author known for my Political commentary as a Liberal Democrat. He is a gay Republican. We even see past that! We do everything together...I love him more and more each day...

Thank you.

I HATE my Android! I don't mind it for internet browsing, but touch screen typing is the absolute worst. And Swype only works on about half of the words. When this phone finally dies, I will have nothing that doesn't have a QWERTY keyPAD.

Cool Found my ex-girlfriend's journal/diary...

while cleaning up the bookcase, read what she wrote and decided to write to her and give my response on some of what she had written - I wasn't negative nor ugly, just honest and polite.

I do care about her still, but I feel somehow the feeling is not mutual.

I really really want to see Patti Smith live but none of my friends even know who she is. Shall I bite the bullet and go alone?
