I woulda said go with either Sisters of the Moon, Storms, or Silver Springs. - Can u guess i have a bias to ms.Nicks ?? lol -But seriously, cant really go wrong with these. Recently played the dance version of Silver Springs to a mate who just kinda associated the Mac with GYOW and Don't Stop. He Ended up cryin and saying that it was the most lyrically intense and emotionally raw song he'd heard in a long time and probably ever ...!!! Another Convert !!!

If you wanted to go different u could try Gold Dust Woman, possibly the version from the Dance - get to hear Stevies old style wail - plus at the unleashed concerts numerous ppl said to me that it has actually really stood the test of time quite well, (thou this may be due to the new guitar re-work lyndsey has done!!)

Which is perfect justification for picking a song or songs by a lineup OTHER than the Rumours lineup.

But the Rumours lineup is more accessible and most likely to get his attention.....not that a different lineup wouldn't, but it's more likely with the Rumours lineup.

Are we even certain this guy is not a fan of the band?

If you go with Rhiannon, I would go with specifying the Midnight Special version over Rosebud, actually.

Ok guys, so i decided to go with "Sisters of the Moon". Don't yell at me! Please! I just truly believe that lyrically and musically, it is just gorgeous! And it isn't one of the usually radio played songs.

thanks so much for the input!

Damn and I really wanted you to pick Jeremy's version of "Blue Suede Shoes" - your teacher would have either a) had you thrown out of class or b) never looked at you the same way twice.

Who'd yell at you for that? It's an excellent song, always near the top of my ever-changing list of FM preferences.
Quick question - is it the album or single version you're going to play? The difference is a bit more profound than other album/single differences...
Once again, a great selection!

Touche! I'm a HUGE fan of Christine's pre '75 contributions... I almost think she lost some of her edge and personality with the advent of Buckingham Nicks. Something like "Why" would be a fantastic choice. So many others... "Prove Your Love" is a personal favorite.

well, it's whatever my teacher can find...so i doubt he can find the single version on iTunes or YouTube. So this may mean he'll watch the Mirage Tour version (my fave), but you never know!

IMO, i think it has to do with your own personal taste- before Linds and Stevie it was blues...which usually isn't a universal sound-especially with the younger generation. When S and L joined the sound became more commercial-and more likely for more people to listen to.

Just curious have you checked out pre-rumors albums? Cause The pop sound actually Started with Bob Welch. If you have not do listen. Great stuff in there I'm just curious
