OK this is the last one for now. After these first 2 die down I'll do Tusk.

For the record, I still can't bring myself to include SS on my list. It's an amazing song, but it's just not on the original release.

Very Good: NGBA, Second Hand News, Dreams, Oh Daddy

Good: Don't Stop, YMLF, IDWTK


There are no real clunkers on here IMO. The Rumours bonus disc versions bump Oh Daddy up to Outstanding and YMLF somewhere between very good and good.

That is a different categorie. You're right that some of the songs are played to death on radio. I agree with you but the point I tried to keep in mind is: is the song good or bad or not? In other words: it`s not the songs fault that it has been played too much F.e. Go your own way. I wouldn`t ever listen to that one again without being forced to but it is nevertheless a great great song imo. I mentioned several times that I don`t like Rumours that much, it has a bunch of great tunes and a lot of fillers or crappy ones. Holds no contest in comparison to TUSK. Here`s my impression:

1) Extraordinary good: Never going back again, Go your own way, Don't stop

2) Borders on being boring as studio album versions: The chain, Gold dust woman, Silver springs, Dreams, Second hand news (with the exception of Dreams they all win a lot live on stage)

3) plain boring: Songbird, I don`t want to know

4) Simply bad: Oh Daddy, You make loving fun

Don't Stop sounds like entertainment at a kid's fifth birthday party, at least on the album. JMO.
YNLF I never cared for until I heard the version on VBOFM. For some reason the subtle differences work better for me, and I can make out the words much better.

Great: GDW, GYOW, Songbird, Dreams (although if i hear it one more time), YMLF, The Chain.

Good: NGBA, SHN, Don't Stop.

Fair: Oh Daddy, IDWK.

Note: Silver Springs is a Great song, but it's not on the original so I won't rank it here.
