I contacted Mick's M&G people last Wednesday, and they responded very promptly to advise that the order had been cancelled and refunded, and to allow 5-7 working days for the refund to be reflected on my card. So, I'm giving them until the end of this week, otherwise it will be another email and contacting the bank to get them on to it.

In fairness to the M&G organisers, I suspect that they may have had to wait for their refunds from Ticketek/Ticketmaster before processing ours...

Or maybe I'm just feeling uncharacteristically generous today

I also got refunded for the M&G on Monday, by the way. Thankfully.

Reminds me of one of the old concerts I drove down for ... I think it was the Forum dates on the '82 tour. There were about 100 people milling around at the box office window. The venue marque just said something like "No concert tonight." We had to ask at the window, and were told "Stevie has walking pneumonia."

(nothing personal towards you).
I hope you got your money back.

And that there is another tour.

It really sucks...time is happening, and they're all reaching "that age". Who knows how much longer they've got, as a band.

Seeing "No Concert Tonight" and nothing else would have made me so frustrated! I guess before the internet, unless you happened to be listening to the radio at the right time you couldn't learn of a cancellation very easily.

Some of you might recall these shows I'm talking about.

Before the internet I end up driving up to Saratoga Springs NY for a Stevie concert and found out the show was canceled about 4 hours earlier do to a bad wind storm ripped through the area of the amphitheater.

I was pissed when I got there but cooled off about hour later when I was chatting to a couple of Stevie fans and left about 90 minutes later.

I could of tuned in the radio stations and listen to see if they canceled the show but I was listening to Stevie cassettes on the way up and the weather was beautiful and calm on the way up there.

After that I started calling the venues and checking what going on the the evenings show.

I wasn't worried about the gas since its was like about a $1.20 a gallon.

I end up enjoying the ride up and back home.

I feel sorry for those that fly and drive 3000 miles to these shows and find out the shows got canceled.

The other Stevie show which got canceled do to the venue screwing the artists out of their take. That was Lake Compounce .

Luckily my mother caught the local 12 noon news about Stevie's concert cancellation along with other artists which supposed to perform there in the next few weeks as she called me at work and let me know.I was pissed and end up staying at work the rest of the day since I was gonna leave at noon.
