Default The Vatican's Top Ten Albums Of All Time

I just found this on PerezHilton.com. Thought it was interesting. Enjoy, kids:

Surprising!

The official newspaper of the Vatican in Italy, L'Osservatore Romano, has listed it's official top ten albums of all time and the results were quite the opposite that you'd expect.

The Beatles' Revolver took number one and others making the list include:

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Michael Jackson - Thriller
U2 - Achtung Baby
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Donald Fagen - The Nightfly
Carlos Santana - Supernatural
Paul Simon - Graceland
David Crosby - If I Could Only Remember My Name

What? No GaGa?!

What do U think of the papal picks?

Default The Pope a Machead?

Vatican's Top 10 Favorite Rock Albums

Who knew? The Vatican rocks out to Fleetwood Mac and Oasis! The official Vatican newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, has released a list of what it considers the top 10 albums of all time, and all of them are rock 'n' roll.
What is the one song that changed the world?

The Vatican's list of top 10 albums of all time:
1. "Revolver," The Beatles
2. "If I Could Only Remember My Name," David Crosby
3. "The Dark Side of the Moon," Pink Floyd
4. "Rumours," Fleetwood Mac
5. "The Nightfly," Donald Fagen
6. "Thriller," Michael Jackson
7. "Graceland," Paul Simon
8. "Achtung Baby," U2
9. "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" Oasis
10. "Supernatural," Carlos Santana

The big question: Does Pope Benedict XVI, at age 82, personally approve of this list? No word from the Vatican if U2 and Michael Jackson are on the pope's iPod!

I'd like to have seen Madonna - Like A Prayer (1989) on it - haha! Actually, it isher best album (closely followed by Ray Of Light).

I read in other newspaper that their n.1 was Thriller. Anyway, it's a good list.

However.. doesn't The Vatican have any more important thing to do? Can't find the point here. Why they have to list a rock/pop album list? Who's next? United Nations? Nasa? Greenpeace? People's Republic of China? I don't get it.

How the heck did David Crosby and Donald Fagan make that list? I like both of those artists and both of those albums, but are they top-ten material for any list?
