That outtake is on the remastered 2 disc version of Rumours.

Thank you! The harmonies on it are so much more haunting than what went onto the album.

Ditto. I love this song, but I agree that the harmonies (love when this band harmonizes) on the outtake moves this version up a notch. Thanks for sharing.. I forgot how beautiful this one is.

This is my favorite mix of "Oh Daddy" and I LOVE how Stevie's harmony vocals are featured. It's one of several examples of how the WRONG mix of a song ended up making the final cut for the album. This version should have been mixed for "Rumours".

I totally agree! I love the track with Stevie's vocals, it makes the song 100% better IMO.

I agree with everyone that Stevie's added vocals are simply gorgeous on that outtake of Oh Daddy. However, I still think the final product is superior. It's very sparse- it has an air of restraint that creates a properly spooky atmosphere. The finalized backing vocals with Christine, Stevie, & Lindsey are just little strobes of light that awaken you from the dreaminess of the song. I think the finished version of Oh Daddy is simply masterful- it's all about restraint & giving the song proper "air." I think that's part of what was so great about the first 3 Rumours-era Mac albums- it wasn't necessarily what the band put into the songs: it's what they didn't that leant them such a special sound.

Stevie added some great vocals on this tune. I wish they had put that version on the album as well. Gives a band feel.
