Great! I've thought of getting the Elliott Smith book in that series but I wasn't really sure what sort of stuff it has in it. What are they like?

I love Elliott Smith too. Miss him.
They're just basically stories about the making of the album, meanings of songs and the like.

I must admit I know nothing about this series. So what will this book talk about then (based on what you know regarding the content of the books in this series)?

John

Well all the books in the series tend to be written by different writers, but basically the focus is on one album. The writing and recording of it. I'm really looking forward to it.

Oops, sorry, didn't look back far enough.
At least a few more people learned about it.

Oh Carol Ann... very very interesting book to read, and I believe the fundamental fact underneath the majority of what she is saying. But I think she was well aware in the process of writing that book that she would be portraying a lot of events and individuals how she wanted to see them...

I didn't know about the series, but checking at wikipedia it looks very interesting, just from the album titles:

Aqualung - Jethro Tull
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd
ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits ńABBA
Sign “☮” the Times - Prince
Low - David Bowie
Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie Wonder
Achtung Baby - U2
Led Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin
Aja - Steely Dan

And it's just great that it's about Tusk and not about Rumours.
agreed...........

anybody know whats going on with this? I know it was pushed back (17th of June I believe, or that's what Amazon said anyway) and was available for pre-order, but now it does not come up for me when I search for it, only when looking at my wish list does it appear, saying Currently Unavailable..

David, check your PMs.

This book does sound interesting, but I noticed the table of contents listed have them talking to people, so I dunno how interesting it'd be.
