Rumours is an odd choice IMO.Despite the unisex name Lindsey was a boy.

As Blondie is. Though the singer is female, it is not a females band, like the Go Go's. In fact Debbie was the only woman

If the contest says "greatest albums by female artists", it should be only albums created and performed by only women, IMO

I have never heard of any of those 6 artists, nor do I think I've ever heard a song by them. I probably need to participate in my generation a little bit more.....

It is a little bit strange that Rumours is on there, but I'm glad for it's addition anyway. Bella Donna would have fit in more with that group of albums, though.

considering they are listing them as "women-fronted bands" i'd say Blondie or No Doubt definitely qualify. both are clearly fronted by a woman (and just 1 woman).

band like FM simultaneously fronted by 2 women and 1 man... even though it's 2:1 i still don't see how that's woman-only fronted band.

Most people (casual Mac fans) seem to think of Stevie as the frontman/lead singer and Christine as the keyboardist and Lindsey as the guitarist. That discredits Christine and Lindsey lead vocal compabilities and their abilities to "put on a show" if you will.

very possible. i've seen people on twitter reporting on going to SN solo shows and thinking they are going to FM show...

that's why most casual concert goers are so surprised when they actually see a Mac concert and they get a spectacular show from Lindsey instead.

Now that makes more sense. I just read the post, not the article and it said albums by female artists

Where the heck are Fanny, Birtha and Suzi Quatro, the three female acts that open ~ hell, kicked down! ~ the door for all other women who followed?!?
