I don't get why people don't like this song. I LOVE it. Great vocals and great guitar.

Well, I mean. He Big Love-a-fied one of the greatest Beatles songs ever. Theres a law against butchering Beatles songs, and he quite clearly broke it.

Well .... I must admit that I don't know the original version of this song very well at all, so I don't know if I can really comment.

But in its own right I love Lindsey's Here Comes the Sun.

Yes there is rearrangment of a song and then there is butchery.

If I can draw a parallel, if it was a surgical operation Lindsey used a Heckler & Koch MP5 when he should have used a scalpel..

'nuff said...

OMG! You MUST get some experience with the Beatles. How can you not know the original version of Here Comes The Sun???

Please...PLEASE...buy Abbey Road or any Beatles compilation album that carries this song. It's a classic. Lindsey's version was very good, and I really like it - but its very different.

I agree! I don't like how LB changed the guitar melody - it sounds like he's playing NGBA and singing HCTS.

I've been meaning to get into the Beatles for a long, long time...

Other than "big-love-it" I don't see how he could have done it any other way without a band behid him. It's a very darring version but I love it all the same.

The riff that carries the song, he could have expanded on that. Played around it...it's just up his alley.

The original is a masterpiece and all, but Lindsey's version is 100% Lindsey. Take away the fact that it is a cover of a very beloved song, and you have a very typical Lindsey acoustic song. Comparing it to the original shouldn't be the only way to evaluate it. It is hard to distance yourself from a brilliant song that you have loved your entire life, but it is the only way!

I quite like the guitar parts, but Lindsey's singing is way off at times. I guess he was trying to really feel it and that can happen sometimes.

But then I never really liked the original all that much. Infact, I've never really liked The Beatles all that much. Over here in Britain some of us get rather sick of them.

Now, this is obviously a small fraction out of the hundreds of songs in their repitiore, but they're my personal favorites.

lol i'm going to have to disagree with you on that, sorry. I think his vocals are spot on.

Is it just the live performance I linked to at the top of the thread the only Lindsey version of this song? Are is there another live recording knocking about somewhere, or even a studio verssion.

Naturally, being human and all, I like the beatles. I'm not a HUGE fan are even a novice fan lol, but I know a load of there songs.
