Leather and Lace extra lyric?
I usually always listen to music off streaming sites, but I was just listening to this Leather and Lace on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLEMiDrdSKU and I noticed that Don Henley's verse has an extra lyric, instead of ending with the "But that time I saw you/I knew with you to light my nights/Somehow I'd get by", it follows with "First time I saw you/I knew with you to light my nights/Somehow I would get by".
Does anyone know anything about this 'alternate version' if you could call it that? And this song is just so pretty, I know it's a bit on the cheesy side but I still love it and the lyrics. |

They did silly things to songs back then. I can see some record studio executive that the song is too long for a pop single to shorten it. Or maybe another silly reason.
Someone always thinks they are improving something with a butcher knife in hand
