Don't worry, Wendy. There are a lots of fans out there who will never forget Bob's incredible contributions to Fleetwood Mac.

Here is a fantastic, new live cover of one of his FM classics:

I'm happy to hear a book is coming out; I can't wait to read it.

I'm very perplexed as to why Bob's legacy with Fleetwood Mac is being overlooked or just ignored. What is the motivation behind this? Why, among so many musicians who passed through the band, is he being singled out?

Bob's contributions were vital to the band's survival. He brought a musical influence to the band that was entirely unique and unlike any other phase of the band. Despite this egregious effort to ignore his time in the band, for dedicated fans, he will always be a significant part of their history.

Definitely interested in reading the book when it comes out. Though I wasn't alive during the Bob Welch tenure, Mystery To Me was one of my favorite albums, and remains so. Nothing on iTunes from that era either, can't get the music there even.

Most of Bob's albums are on Spotify. Now, I don't particularly like the business model of streaming services which (ie the artists are paid peanuts) but it's nice to see him on there. The Kirwan-Welch era Mac is sadly missing.

Was there ever a better chillout song than "Future Games"? Wonderful.

In Europe at least, the 1970-74 albums are available at Spotify, presumably made available just now along with the Tango in the Night reissue, since they're in low numbers at <1000 listens. I don't remember them being there before anyway.

So a digital agreement of sorts has been reached. Sad that Wendy didn't live to see this.

I noticed today that the Welch-era Mac albums are FINALLY available for streaming on Spotify in America! This is a huge development. This will finally expose Bob's music to a generation who knows nothing about him. I've spent the evening playing all the albums; what a wonderful surprise!

It does make me wonder what has brought about this change, though. I suspect the passing of Bob and Wendy paved the way for it. Whatever legal entanglements they had with the band must have been absolved through their estates.

What really made me angry was not only not mentioning Bob Welch during Behind the Music but actually cutting him out all together. There is a shot of the back cover of Heroes are hard to find and Bob is cut out of the photo. The era of Bob is not mentioned and they pretend it never happened. Not only is he not mentioned but great care went into not showing him in any photo or performance. The cutting off the Heroes album is outrageous and demands an answer from the band.

I think you would be interested to see this documentary from the Biography channel which not only interviewed Bob Welch, but also half-forgotten members Rick Vito, Billy Burnette, and Bekka Bramlett. Only problem is whoever made this documentary clearly didn't bother with music clearances and it's almost all generic ("Oh Well" somehow made the cut). There's nothing worse than a music documentary that omits the music but it's cool to hear from the usually unsung band members.

https://www.biography.com/video/flee...phy-9576003710

EDIT: It also claims that Bekka Bramlett and Dave Mason were introduced at the Clinton inauguration performance. Umm what?
