When someone really knows what they're doing with tofu, it can be pretty yummy! Agreed, when it's bad, it's really bad tho haha! My neighbor is a vegan, and that girl eats better than anyone I know! I wish I had the energy and patience to learn how to cook and eat vegan... but alas, it is infinitely easier and cheaper to eat flesh! lol

I could do without red meat, but I don't think I could give up chicken/fish. I just enjoy them too much

I dunno. I've worked with some pretty thick vegans.... and wondered how that's so when it's supposed to be such a healthier diet really? I don't think I could ever give up meat really.

Default Yummy Chicken Recipe

This is my family's signature recipe. IT'S SO YUMMY.

Yummy Chicken

First, start cooking the rice, following the directions on the box. If you use Uncle Ben’s Converted Rice, heat 2 parts water (example: 2 cups) to boiling over medium heat. When water is boiling, add ½ teaspoon salt (a few dashes) and 1 teaspoon butter (a small dollop) and 1 part rice (example 1 cup). 2 cups water and 1 cup rice is enough for 3-4 servings.

Cover the pan and reduce heat to low (simmer). Remove from heat after 20 minutes and allow to stand at least 5 minutes in covered pan.

2 lbs of stir fry chicken
1 Cup Lemon Juice
2 Cups Marsala (Sweet) Wine
3 Tbs of chopped garlic (buy in small jars, chopped or crushed, in water or olive oil.)
Olive Oil (Extra Virgin)
Soy Sauce
Mix lemon juice and Marsala wine.

Cover frying pan with olive oil. Heat at medium high until HOT (but not smoking) and then add garlic.

Cook for about 1 minute then add chicken.

Turn and cook until all the meat is “white” then add three good shots of soy sauce. Continue to cook for about 2-3 minutes. Then strain off the liquid in the pan.

Add your mixture of lemon juice and Marsala.

After liquid starts to “boil” turn heat to medium. Cook for 20-30 minutes. There should be a small amount of reduced liquid left in pan. You can add more Marsala or a little more soy if you want a stronger taste.

Serve over rice and enjoy.

Cuz they are probably eating nothing but garbage. You still need protein even is it's not from animals. I've known vegetarians who eat all starchy foods & think they're healthier. Potato chips may be vegetarian, but they're sure as hell not good for you.
