A nice freebie [Dave Mason]

So, I was bummed at home last night because I couldn't go see Jeremy Spencer in Chicago or Steve Winwood in Indy. As a fan of Fleetwood Mac and Traffic, I was really, really upset. I was about to go to bed, but had to use the bathroom. I have a little radio in my bathroom, and I had it turned on. The guy on the news said that there was this festival in Sycamore Township (a suburb of Cincinnati) on Saturday (7/12) that would feature a free concert by Dave Mason. Needless to say, I felt much, much better.

The show was good. It was a short set, with all of the standards and two new songs off his first new album in 21 years. He's got a great band, looks better than I've seen in more recent pics, and sounded classic Dave.

Thank you for posting this. Too bad you couldn't go see Jeremy as I'm waiting for SOMEONE to go see him for all the current shows he's doing that I've posted. I'm glad you got to see Dave. Truthfully We Just Disagree is the only song by Dave that I know, and I have ALWAYS loved this song. It sounded great when he sang it with FM live in 1995 in Phoenix.

Funny how you learned about this concert just by chance, in the bathroom! There are no coincidences. Dave is still making "new" music and played 2 new songs in concert. Gee, that's good to know. Wish others would follow suit! Michele
