That's hardly true. Some of his work outside of FM has been his best work.

you do know that you posted this in Lindsey solo forum? see above and below - such language is unintelligible here!

right? one would think that would be understood and implied when in Lindsey solo forum, but obviously not for some people!

I was misled by that title too. But I certainly won't hate you for that. I don't hate you at all, to be honest. Because of you, and because I basicly don't hate people. Maybe things or situations, or attitudes. Come on Ryan What'syournumber.

All in jest, I had supreme joy for 11 seconds until, I realized he was just going to be a guest.

OK, I meant in 2016 nobody wants to hear about new "solo" work when most of us are anxiously waiting on news of FM's album.

Personally I'd happily take anything from anyone right now.

Buckingham Perfect album would be nice!

(although of course that would be actually Fleetwood Mac)

I would love anything from Buck or McVie. I
Certainly don't want anything from Stevie. Her solo music is pretty boring and nasal.

^Disagree. They all sound better as part of Fleetwood Mac.
None of the recent solo material for any of the 3 can even compare.

love it, that we are actually having a discussion here - thank you for that!

can you give examples of what you mean?

Lindsey's SWS material is exquisite and much better than majority of his FM material, excluding his few songs on Rumours, some Tusk songs and most of his SYW songs (which was really solo material anyway). people familiar with In The Meantime say it's great.

i'm not very familiar with Stevie's solo material, but from what i've heard her really good solo material was just in the early 80s and it was all downhill from there. so i'm curious to hear your opinion. from what i can see Stevie seems to be the only one of the 3 that fits your description.

so while Lindsey is one of the apparently rare artists who is not resting on his past glories and gets better and better as the time goes on, and Christine seems to be steadily good over time, only Stevie seems to have had her best songwriting phase squarely back in the early 70s and then possibly some solo work in the early 80s.

from all that, FM album written by Lindsey-Christine would be probably musically much better than if there are Stevie's contributions too. and possibly that's the main reason Stevie has been holding back the album - feeling she's been creatively blocked for decades while Lindsey and now Christine have been creatively growing. that's seems to also be one of Lindsey's speculations why she is so reluctant to join them.

wrong. (and, why is solo in quotation marks?)

people expressed their "hate" for me because they thought Lindsey may have gotten tired of endless wait and is maybe releasing a solo album.

and you know why *i* hate hate hate this wait and delay of FM album that Nicks has been holding up for years now? because i want Lindsey to get back to his solo work! (well, that and i want to finally hear those songs that he and Chris recorded together!) i would have LOVED if he released a solo album this year instead of doing something here and there while they are all apparently unsuccessfully trying to talk Nicks into new FM album. it frustrates me to no end that in his highly prolific phase we are all forced to sit and wait for YEARS!

Lindsey released solo albums in 2006, 2008, and 2011. we could have had 2 more by now if there was no endless FM album wait. he certainly recorded double album worth of songs for FM since 2012.
