No. You can quash a subpoena if a lawyer signs it and you have compelling reasons (per my agency's policies and procedure manual, section 6.15 lol). It's not that I don't want to help, but one business day notice is ridiculous. I am booked with clients through the month of October and into early November already.

If a judge signed it, it would be a done deal.

Thanks to everyone who wished me well. I went to see my nan today and realised how crap i am in these situations. But theres nothing I can do to change whatever is going to happen so I just sort of need to accept it.

I have to sort out so much stuff aswell. I've got to do my UCAS to apply for uni's to finish my degree, i have 3 major projects on the go and my head is a mess.

I want to get out of this jury duty crap they sent me. One of the questions is, "are you friends/related to a police officer?". My friend WAS dating a cop....I'm wondering if I said yes, and used his name if I had to, if that might work?

I don't know if it's the same for a jury summons. I've actually always wanted to serve on a jury. I received a summons last year and was so disappointed at not being chosen. The letter said to call after 6pm with the code I was given. I did, and was told (by a recording) that I was not needed. I think being a social worker turns them off.

The subpoena was to testify and usually therapists are leery about testifying because of client confidentiality. Not to mention how badly it interferes with the therapist's schedule.
