How does Steve Winwood's piano arrangement in concert differ from Christine's?

Nah...they couldn't leave off "These Strange Times", that's Mick's "history of Fleetwood Mac in song". 1st verse is about Peter Green...2nd verse about Lindsey & Stevie..3rd verse about himself. Plus, it's Mick's debut as lead guitarist!!! Does a fine job, too!

Isn't he leaving out some important people?

Plus he turned me off when he threw "God" in there, of course.

I don't know. I only THAT he played the song in concert. When I used to run that Dave Mason website, a lot of Steve's fans would send me e-mails. One guy told me that he was at a show, and out of nowhere, Steve started playing the song. I'm actually curious myself. He's playing in the Dayton area this summer, and I'll be going to the show. Hopefully he'll play it.

I don't think he's talking about the people in the song to actually talk about people. The whole song is really about him (Mick). It's just a sort of self-examination of his life. I think Mick is saying in the first verse that he now realizes what Peter went through all those years ago. In the second verse, Mick is acknowledging the hell Fleetwood Mac went through during the "Rumours" years. The third verse is Mick's way of saying "I survived it, and it's actually pretty good." And, given that he had just gone through rehab, the God references were a very important part of how he was viewing his own life.

As for the "God is nowhere/God is now here" thing, that's something you'd have to have a copy of the "I'm Not Me" album by Mick Fleetwood's Zoo to better appreciate. There's a little cartoon that says "'God is nowhere scrawled the atheist, but the child read 'God is now here.'"

I'm going to see him in San Diego. I love his music.
