it worked! so here are the other pics.
Thanks to Terry we had no problem finding our way to Humphreys and even arrived there a day before the concert.It's a lovely place, expensive, but it turned out to be worth every cent!
When i opened the curtains of our room on monday morning, my view of the harbour was blocked by... Lindsey's huge equipment truck (truck ladies, truck)
I met some fans who were waiting at the entrance of the venue, which was just next to our room (we even had to go throught there to get to our room), and i asked but they were not Ledgies, just waiting for an autograph.When we returned in the afternoon, around 4.30, they were still there , waiting. We got talking again and when they decided to finally leave, i suddenly heard the unmistakable first notes of NTL drifting out from behind the thick velvet curtains of the entrance.And yes it was Lindsey doing the soundcheck. Security told us we could get in to go to our room, but we could not linger on the stairs or the porch. Never in my life have i walked up a stair so slowly I showered and dressed with the door of our room propped open so i could listen and afterwards went back outside to find that i could easily walk around the other side of the porch, to where the soundboard was, and stand to watch and listen and no one was bothering me or told me to leave.
I really got 2 concerts for the price of one. During the soundcheck he looked and sounded almost exactly as he did later that evening (even the clothes were the same - could do with something new there haha).
Camera's were not allowed; but i used my husband as decoy. He had his camera dangling from his neck and i had mine tucked under my coat, so he got turned away and went to take it back to our room , whilst i got let in and no one noticed the big hump on my back! We had 3rd row seats , smack in the middle, so i think i got some nice shots (i'm pleased with them myself anyway). Now i'm hoping the man will finally get his ass over to europe cause after Vegas and San Diego, i'm hooked
