OT: Song heard on the radio

Hi everyone,
Sorry this is so random but I don't know where else to post it. I was in a restaurant recently and heard a song on an oldies station. For the life of me, I can't figure out what it is, but I've definitely heard it before. The singer is male, and the refrain has something like "Whenever I love" repeated several times.
I know that's not much to go on, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know! Thanks.
