I'd go, too. (but I'd probably be doing this if it actually happened)

If someone dug up Danny, I'd go too. I would miss Danny in a Green-Spencer combo...

Ummm...you don't HAVE to "dig him up"...he's not dead yet? (ok, so that just made me think of a Monty Python skit)
MORTICIAN: (repeatedly) BRING OUT YOUR DEAD!! CUSTOMER: Here's one -- nine pence. DEAD PERSON: I'm not dead! MORTICIAN: What? CUSTOMER: Nothing -- here's your nine pence. DEAD PERSON: I'm not dead! MORTICIAN: Here -- he says he's not dead! CUSTOMER: Yes, he is. DEAD PERSON: I'm not! MORTICIAN: He isn't. CUSTOMER: Well, he will be soon, he's very ill. DEAD PERSON: I'm getting better! CUSTOMER: No, you're not -- you'll be stone dead in a moment. MORTICIAN: Oh, I can't take him like that -- it's against regulations. DEAD PERSON: I don't want to go in the cart! CUSTOMER: Oh, don't be such a baby. MORTICIAN: I can't take him... DEAD PERSON: I feel fine! CUSTOMER: Oh, do us a favor... MORTICIAN: I can't. CUSTOMER: Well, can you hang around a couple of minutes? He won't be long. MORTICIAN: Naaah, I got to go on to Robinson's -- they've lost nine today. CUSTOMER: Well, when is your next round? MORTICIAN: Thursday. DEAD PERSON: I think I'll go for a walk. CUSTOMER: You're not fooling anyone y'know. Look, isn't there something you can do? DEAD PERSON: I feel happy... I feel happy. [whop] {Dead person get's hit over head with frying pan} CUSTOMER: Ah, thanks very much. MORTICIAN: Not at all. See you on Thursday.

Me too.
But the real question is: Would Peter and Jeremy? |

Who knows?
This being the title of one of my favorite Jimi Hendrix songs.
Jeremy has visited Peter off and on over the years and remains a friend Mick Fleetwood would play inside out if that wa the only way they would get together again. John McVie is on another planet when it comes to Peter and would have to be led by the hand. Danny has most likely not played guitar in years and has some kind of post trumatic stress syndrome about Peter in addition to everything else. But the bottom line really is that Peter would not do anything if it was just for the money. I think Jeremy would go along with playing together for joy's sake. Would that mean they could share a small intimate venue. Maybe, but Peter is not playing in them now with legions of people willing to play with him. I know many guitar players and musicians of many sorts who put down their instrument and did not touch them for years. I kow others who just tinker around at home with them and are happy. Peter. when you add it up has played professionally for 30 years. How many musicians that we idolize can really say that? doodyhead Last edited by doodyhead; 09-23-2011 at 10:53 AM.. another thought
David Bromberg stopped playing for years and worked as a violin maker. He is back to playing out again in the last few years.
I would love to see a reunion. But things happen for their own reasons. In the case of these particular musicians, All the planets would have to align. And sad for me, the chance of it being in the USA is about as possible as me being hit by that sattilite. But wouldn't it be incredible if Eric Clapton invited Peter or Jeremy or both to the next "Crossroads" benefit concert? I don't know why it has not happened already. That is another Enigma. I, as much as any PGFM fan, would be thrilled if something like this comes to pass. But, all things considered, I wouldn’t hold high expectations about it.

Spencer himself said he wouldn't do any type of FM reunion if it meant doing the same old Elmore James tunes all over again. So they'd have to do something different, which would be more than welcome as far as I'm concerned.

Jeremy also said that he would consider such a reunion if it were "for the right reasons"...I think he'd do it for a charity he believed in.
I don't think a tour as such is ever possible, but a handful of special shows might be. It's not like Jeremy is totally estranged from the other members of Fleetwood Mac these days, and he did appear on stage with them in 1995. If the wind blows in the right direction, and the cards fall correctly.....you never know. Of course Jeremy has been known to visit The Ledge...maybe he has some words to add? |
