Default Best and worst bits of Buckingham McVie?

What are your favourite and least favourite bits on this album?

Favourite:
Christine's pronunciation of fire on Game of Pretend;
You burn so bright just like a fy-ee-er

honorable mention:
When the first drum interlude kicks in on Too Far Gone

Least favourite:
Lindsey's creepy heavy breather voice at the very start of Sleeping Around the Corner. What a terrible way to open the album.

honorable mention:
I am a magnet, you are steel;
Noooooooo. I am a lemon, you are the peel. I am an axle, you are the wheel. I am the sole, you are the heel. I am a goldfish, you are an eel. Anything but magnet and bloody steel!

Favorite: Christine's vocal inflection on the line "I always thought I heard you call" on Carnival Begin.

Honorable Mention: The outro of On With the Show.

Least Favorite: Definitely croaky whisper Lindsey on Sleeping Around the Corner.

Honorable Mention: The chorus of In My World.

Christine's "eeeeeven if you try" in Red Sun makes me cringe.

The lyrics in Feel About You. I like your suggestions much better Fuzzy

Obscene caller.

I love Christine's voice on "a new merry-go-roouuuund" on Carnival Begin.

John's bass on In My World.

Mick's drum shuffle on Too Far Gone.

I love when Lindsey sings "I will do what I do best". At one point it almost sounds like a threat or a warning. I only hear it once and I'm not listening now/at work so forgive me for not pinpointing it. The line sounds self assured, factual then just once his voice has an edge to it.

Red Sun... the line "when we first began" should have been changed to "when we were young". It fits better.

But it means something different. One can begin a relationship at any age and not necessarily be young. I admire and welcome the distinction she makes there.

Favorite Bits:
1. The enthusiasm conveyed in "Carnival Begins" regarding Christine's return and involvement with Fleetwood Mac. Compare this to the lyrics in "Homeward Bound" or the indifferent attitude she displayed over the years in promoting Mirage, Tango, The Dance, etc. I've always loved Christine but she never came across as a particularly happy person in interviews and things, so her new enthusiasm all over this album and in promotional materials is infectious- it makes me happy just to see her happier than I've ever seen her. People complain about her recent television appearances- I love them for the sole fact that she is smiling in ALL of them.
2. The drums and rare confident Christine vocal on "Too Far Gone"
3. The Lindsey show-casing guitar on "Love is Here to Stay"
4. The guitar solo and exotic sound on "Carnival Begin"
5. The fact that through all of Lindsey's typical production style it still sounds like a band, with all members collaborating and showcasing their abilities.
6. The lines:

"My mind is if filled with journeys echoed in your smile" - Red Sun
"There'll come a day when we all feel the same and we live for the game" - On With the Show
"I stood by beside our broken bed" - Lay Down for Free

Least Favorite bits:

1. The fact that the three lead singles are imo the weakest songs on the album.
2. Everything about "Feel About You", particularly the vapid lyrics and demo-like production. I don't hate it, it's just incredibly lame and embodies everything that people dislike about Christine. What I dislike more than anything is it's use as a leading single. It was the first to showcase Christine since ITM, and it actually made me doubt both the album AND her. This is a shame because I like "Game of Pretend" quite a bit and the triple threat of the catchy "Red Sun", confident "Too Far Gone", and magnum opus "Carnival Begin" rank with some of her best work EVER. I guarantee that they'd garner more public interest if they played "Too Far Gone" on TV than "In My World".
3. The altered vocals on "In My World" that make Lindsey's voice unrecognizable.
4. The fact that the two vocalists aren't more audible on each other's tracks (even in harmonies).
5. As previously stated: whisper-y vocals on the verses on SATC that mar an otherwise catchy song.
6. The lines

"Dancing spinning dreaming, singing in my word" - In My World
"I don't wanna bring you down, no I never meant to give you a frown" - Sleeping Around the Corner
"I am so blessed, so blessed to find you" - Game of Pretend. There's just something about the inflection on "blessed" that irks me.
Every singe line of "Feel About You"
