Storms and Sisters of the Moon

You really can't go wrong with any of them though. Stevie was pure perfection on Tusk.

Beautiful Child and Sara, the two songs every artist should aspire to equal in their career.

Beautiful Child and Sisters of the Moon, both are perfection.

I totally expect Sara to walk this though.

Oh gosh, this is like trying to chose between my children! I don't know if I can single out any one of these tunes as being superior to the other... they're all masterpieces crafted at Stevie's absolute height. All of these songs have spoken to me at different times in my life, and they've all shuffled around being my favorite. They're all wonderful in their own ways, for varying reasons.

Beautiful Child might eek out an edge because it's the perfect triumvirate: beautiful lyrics, gorgeous vocals, & sublime instrumentals. Add to the fact it translates to the stage just as effectively as the studio, and we might just have a winner. For instance, I think Storms is probably the best songwriting of the lot, but it didn't translate to stage as well. Sisters of the Moon was a powerhouse on stage, but with age, I find the lyrics to be a bit trite in spots. So there we go... I guess Beautiful Child it must be... but it wins solely by a thread!

I voted for Beautiful Child and Storms. They hold more resonance with me.

Oy vey! Why'd you have to make it 2 choices?! Anyways, I gave it to Storms and Sisters of the Moon.

It is harder to vote for two songs than it is to vote for one song! Sara and Beautiful Child snatched my vote. Every time I hear these beauties, I'm floored.

Nothin' on the entire album (by any of the writers) tops "Sisters Of The Moon", for me.

Really.

I'm not kidding.

No, you're not reading it wrong.....chiliD's fave song on Tusk really IS a Stevie Nicks song. Why is that so hard to imagine??

Storms is the best song she's ever written, IMO, so that was the easy first choice.

After much debate, I went with Sisters of the Moon over Beautiful Child.

Not easy by any means cause I really like all of Stevie songs off Tusk. I picked: Sara and Angel. I really love them both. I love Stevie's voice on Sara and Angel is such a fun song esp live its great!!! Now I do love SOTM but chose not to pick it this time...than it would probably be Storms than Beautiful Child....its hard to pick from songs you really really love.....

Even though the battle continues for another 2 days, I have a feeling we might have our first tie with this battle.

They are all wonderful in their own way, but to pick one...

Sara

is about the most luscious Stevie song ever, so I have to go with Sara.

SARA - because of its gorgeous sonic musicscape and great lyrical imagery. Plus Stevie's sublime fragile yet controlled vocal performance.

& this is hard to choose, but I'll toss it to BEAUTIFUL CHILD- One of Stevie's best slow songs. "I'm not a child anymore, I'm tall enough to reach for the star's"...
