OMG my friend. I was about to say the same thing. Where is good ol Sugar Mick?
Although I don't even think it was "the band's story" because they are actually still trying to figure out what their story is. Thankfully, Kristen Buckingham made their lives easier and did it for them.
SM's "claim" was people in LB's "inner circle" (producers, etc) claimed this, that and the other thing (namely the alleged 1 year delay)...... This was the same inner circle that had the new band in the studio too--Chris had a song, Stevie had a song and Neil had a song........

I noticed the Ledge has him/her as the newest
member. Maybe, just maybe, the influx of certain
types of names not related to the Mac has finally
been noticed.

As for SugarMouse, Rusty doesn't know him.

I took a look at inherownwords.com and found these:

"We tangle a lot, but we love each other ~ we'll always love each other. He and I will never get away from the fact that we were as one for so many years."

~Stevie Nicks, Mademoiselle, August 1982

"Lindsey and I were as close to married as I'll probably ever be. I took care of him, I cooked for him, I ironed his jeans, I embroidered stars and moons on them, I adored him, I took care of him."

~Stevie Nicks, MTV 1515, 1998

"You know, when Lindsey and I go back and forth on the songs that were written between the two of us, for that moment, we are back in love again."

~Stevie Nicks, BAM Magazine, August 22, 1997

So, if you're going to swear by her words in one interview, you can't ignore her words in other interviews.... by the way, buttonlip, could you post the exact quote in context? Stevie often talks about how tumultuous their relationship was, and that there were often periods of unhappiness while she was with him. I'm wondering if the quote refers to that more than a declaration that she never felt an iota of love for Lindsey.

Of course, Stevie may have completely destroyed their relationship now, but that doesn't mean it never existed.
Stevie plays the drama because she knows it sells-- the journos love it and the shippers love it. It's been fake forever.

I prefer to take the words of Stevie's "truth teller" Tom Petty who said, "They love each other but man they really, really hate each other."

Instead, they went to the trouble of inventing an elaborate lie and dedicated themselves to selling it in their interviews. They sat there with straight faces and talked about how unreasonable Lindsey's demands for a delay were, knowing full well he never made such demands. That is beyond the pale. It makes me sick.
yeah, like in politics (in the US) when someone leaves and says they "want to spend more time with my family".

She is but isn't it great that she had the balls to finally come out and say it so that those like our friend SugarMouse can finally accept that what the rest of the band were spreading as gospel about LB insisting on tour delays is openly confirmed by KB as being complete and utter b*llocks

Absolutely, this could have been handled so much better. If they had any respect for fans they could have been more honest and basically summed it up as creative differences.
Despite being the instigator of this, SN then makes up a pathetic story so she doesn't look like the cruel nasty cow to her devoted fans, but then the truth comes out and she ends up looking far worse and loses thousands more fans as a result. Karma's a bitch.

Now you're just like TreacleRat--citing vague sources about a member getting kicked out of a group.

Kristen joined in on the discussion in the comments (which was about Lindsey asking to delay the tour) to plainly state that he didn't ask for "any such delay" and that ironically the tour is now starting later than it would have. She posted another comment calling what happened the "cruelest move" she's ever seen and Lindsey didn't do anything to deserve it. Someone else confirms this and says that before any of this drama got started, Mick had told them the tour would start in August.
I think we should go ahead and post the transcript from seed_we_sow's post here in case people are having trouble sifting through the instagram comments or, in the future, that post / series of replies gets lost or something (Note: kbcrush is Kristen):
jgrt35 WTF did he do ? Don't get mad cause I asked.Im like make up,

seeds_we_sow@jgrt35 well that's just the point, he didn't do anything beyond asking for a 1yr tour delay or asking to do his own solo tour at the same time so that a delay wouldn't be needed. Stevie just decided she wanted him out of her life and that meant out of the band. That's why so many fans have turned away from the band, and why so many Stevie fans have turned away from Stevie.

kbchrush@seeds_we_sow he didn’t ask for any such delay. Ironically, they are starting later now than what they had planned with Lindsey.

kbchrush@seeds_we_sow Cruelest move I’ve ever seen. Lindsey did not deserve any of it.

SOMEBODY here posted that Sugar Tits got banned. "I" didn't post it. It's been a couple weeks now, and I don't remember who posted it. I assumed it must be true, because that's when he/she disappeared.

True or not, I may have done a happy dance in the middle of my street, while checking my mail.

I wish Sugar Mick was here to see this, wait.........no, I really don't wish for that. This place is so much calmer now. And Sugar Mick would probably still deny that this was valid.

While I don't believe in god, I know that many prayers were answered.

Hahahaha, I have done a happy dance myself. And my blood pressure has returned to normal, except when I think about the band. Then my blood pressure drops to 0, due to sadness.

Glucose Rat would still need to hear it directly from Lindsey, and even then probably wouldn’t believe it.

I do NOT want them back together again ever. LB is the only one I will support from now on. MAYBE LBCM if that happens. Coming from a former HUGE fan of SN, she can take her tambourine and her broomstick and ......I was going to say something but I'll finish it with ....fly away on it. Bye FELICIA!
