Would love for there to be a Lindsey solo album. That's why I think he should start his own label. He could release what he wants to release then and not worry about Warners..

I heard a rumor that LB layed Stevie down in the tall grass and did some stuff.

I'm gonna say we will see both a Lindsey and Stevie album next year...or maybe even a buckingham nicks colaborration...and then we will see a farewell Mac tour with Chris back as well in 2007 to mark the 40th anniversary (hey if you want something might as well aim for the top).

Default LB Solo Project

While I agree with most of the realistic and pragmatic points made in this thread, I think LB learned a lot about the business side of the music with OOTC (probably a lot of sobring lessons). I speculate that he has used that to his advantage while negotiating upcoming projects (including "Say You Will"). "The Dance" was extremely successful and I'm sure record companies took notice. Did LB negotiate a deal beyond "Say You Will"? I believe (again, just speculation) that certain parameters were set based on the success of "Say You Will" that would allow an LB solo project or the next FM project. I feel that this is Lindsey's time to shine in Fleetwood Mac, and Lindsey has had more creative input/control (from the selection of songs on the "Best of Fleetwood Mac" that included Lindsey's favorites "What Makes You Think You're The One" and the acoustic version of "Go Insane" which was a solo song). Mick and John are along for the ride (and money). Mick realizes without LB and Stevie, there is no FM that can generate revenue, so he has given LB enough creative control to keep him involved (as payback for "The Dance" which has been revealed as a project only for the money?). Stevie's involvement is tough to figure out, perhaps it is her love for LB that got her invloved in "Say You Will" (I think about LB breaking down in the "Destiny Rules" documentary about how much he appreciated the rest of the band participating). Lindsey seems to be doing everything he can to generate enthusiasm on stage. His energy on this tour has been incredible. Is it enough to carry over and support a solo project? If there is a solo project (which I hope there is), you will probably see Mick and perhaps even John touring with LB. The only question in my mind is whether LB can put out a solo album in the next eight months that might allow him to take advantage of the mometum built up from "Say You Will." Clearly that would be a challenge for Lindsey to prepare and release something that quickly.

I felt rather uncomfortable watching that. It felt voyeuristic. It was a bit too much in-depth about their relationshiop than a I cared to know about. It felt very weird that he was saying those things and Stevie just had no response at all (she probably didn't want to cry, too). I think it spoke volumes about the two of them and their chemistry, which felt a bit too invasive for my taste.

I never heard any of Lindsey's solo albums I've heard songs from various albums but I don't have any of the CD's, you can't really find them around really; I would hope that he would make a new solo though ~ just hopefully i'll be able to afford it, damn people not hiring me *shakes fist*
