That is the weirdest thing in a long career of weird things!!! For some -- possibly insane -- reason, he remixed that track for GoS. If you compare the two waveforms, you can see the mostly pointless differences. Why would he do that? Why indeed?

He's a moron!!! is all I can figger.

Regarding these Stones covers...I go on again (having wondered somewhere else on another thread) how I am Waiting got to be done on the Soundstage dvd.Seems like his fascination with some of their more obscure songs hasn't really diminished, even though the GOS ones all disappeared.

According to the Guitar Player magazine interview he did right before the release of SYW (the interview was done AFTER they'd decided to make it a single disc set, but not before the final tracks were decided), one of the songs they talked about his playing on WAS "I Am Waiting"...also, they talked about "Down On Rodeo" and "Gift Of Screws", so those must've been on the final chop list.

(I wonder which Stevie tunes got the axe? "Not Make Believe" was seemingly one, but what were the others?)

I wish "I am Waiting" would have made the final cut.

As for La Nicks - I would love to see what he did with "Space Needle."

I remember that like it was yesterday...

....hey, it WAS yesterday...oops, hit the wrong button on the blasted time machine prototype again. Just, a little re-programming and... hit "enter" and "save" and....

...ok, back to the present. Whew! And, didn't even need an "E" ticket.

Hey, chiliD, where did you get all that music?

I want to put together a little CD of my own.

It's not that funny, is it ? You can go your own way, it's not a hard thing to do. I know, the last part isn't as in the song. Just changed it a little for this situation.
