JTIS.....

.....that my new home is fast becoming a Lindsey shrine!

I have framed photos and posters of Linds and FM hanging EVERYWHERE!

Everywhere I go his gorgeous eyes follow me! Am I being too creepy?

But he hasn't invaded my bathroom/loo yet - I don't want to embarrass him when I'm performing my ablutions!

WHY am I leaving music city, to drive home and attend my friend's NYE party? Because I feel obligated...

I was talking to a cop yesterday, and he said 40,000 people flock to Nashville for NYE. They've had the streets downtown shut down since yesterday afternoon, with a free stage already going.

The only reason I'm not regretting leaving too much, is that the free headliner is Lynyrd Skynyrd. The only thing worse than their music, is their demographic!

I do love Skynyrd's music/albums. Problem is that the replacement members have been beating the dead horse for years (sorry, that's probably not the best phrase) to cash in on the name. They've become a charicature of themselves & it's just...bad. I think even I've seen them 2 or 3 times & the plan crash happened when I was 2 year old, for god's sake!

JTIS that I finished The Hunger Games in 2 days & can't wait to read book #2 in the series. So engrossing. And no, I don't care that it's "young adult fiction" and I'm 36 years old.

I used to do sound for some distant COUSIN of them, who had the last name Van Zandt. If I remember, Jimmy was his name. Very little talent, just milkin' that last name....

I've been thinking about it, and I'd pay to see Dan Perfect. As long as he was milking it as a FM cover band!

Just had the first try of the Christmas Cake I made months ago (You make it in advance and then regularly "feed it" with Brandy) and holy hell it's got a kick to it. Might have over done it a tad with the Brandy Glad I alternated between feeding it with Brandy and diluted quantities of Lemon juice and Cranberry juice.

Docility and servility are not virtues. I don't aspire to being "nice" or "agreeable," and the older I get, the less tolerance and patience I have for other people and their assorted BS. Other people's problems are not my problems. I am not going to "be the bigger person," "see it from your point of view," or otherwise sacrifice my own self-respect for your convenience. I enjoy my own company more than anyone else's. If you can't add anything but stress and frustration to my life, then there's no reason for us to associate.

My aunt lost her battle with pancreatic cancer last night. My family and I are going through a very tough time right now, and I'm doing everything I can to distract myself at the moment.
