Default remakes?

If Christine were to revisit and re-record any five songs from her catalogue, which top five would you like to see given new life?

For example, my top five, in no order:

1. Prove Your Love

2. Remember Me

3. Homeward Bound

4. The Way I Feel

5. Only Over You

I like your list, aleuzzi. I'd also go with songs from the early 1970's. She's actually mentioned several times that she'd like to re-record some of the early songs because she disliked her vocals.

1. Morning Rain
2. Homeward Bound
3. Just Crazy Love(because she seems to really like this song.)
4. Come A Little Bit Closer(she's said that she loves this song, but hates her vocal)
5. Prove Your Love(same thing as the above song)

awww that is a great list!

I can understand why she LOVES Just Crazy Love...it is one of my favs.

And I also know what she means about CALBC and PYL...although we as fans think they are wonderful...I can see what she means by maybe not liking her vocals for them...perhaps if they were pitched a little lower...especially CALBC

I think her vocals are fine on the 2 Heroes songs although I can see your point about maybe being pitched slightly lower. But, both "Morning Rain" & "Homeward Bound" are sung a bit too low. That's why I included both of those songs on my list.

Yes, Morning Rain and Homeward Bound were pitched pretty low to begin with so perhaps she might would want to bring those up a bit! Also, her voice has changed quite a bit since that time and oddly enough I think her range has maybe increased!? So perhaps MR and HB would both befit from a higher key!?

It's so hard for me to judge this, because I think they all sound wonderful the way they already are...but we are biased...so...

I'd like to hear her re-record some of her early seventies stuff.

The Penguin songs in particular would be great.

I hate to say this but I really don't like her vocals on Bare Trees especially Homeward Bound so I think she could have another bash at that.

On Come a Little Closer she seems to be over stretching for the high notes which reminds me of Easy Come, Easy Go from In the Meantime.

Still she can't be perfect all the time.

I picked "Homeward Bound" for two reasons: 1. The song is strong and could really benefit from a more creative/ less dated arrangement, and 2. Her vocals on the song, while competent, sound a bit stiff--almost as if she doesn't have complete mastery over the vocal part.

Just like her songs on the Christine Perfect record, "Homeward Bound" has LOADS of potential...

It's from an awesome performance from 1976 (Midnight Special)...they do some great close up shots of Chris on keyboards...which usually never happend.

Glad you like...watching her play is just so awesome!

yeah, after she'd banished it to her right hand. Although I guess there are far worse places she might have banished it to. and it still looks really clean LOL, none of my rings ever look so nice and shiny.

Oh, Grand Master B, you have soooo much to learn (Grasshopper).
That HAS to be the clavinet! Rhodes have a black "rising" top, right in front of the keys(that's where the "tines" are, but that's another lesson). There's no wood-tone on any Rhodes that I've ever seen. So, it's a Hohner clav....
