You can totally hear that sympatico quality in the music not only in the studio but also in concert tapes. Fans used to confuse some of Christine's ad-libbed twiddlies (like the Chopin funeral march motive) in Tusk performances of WORLD TURNING, for example, with Lindsey -- so similar were their deft little meanderings in those days. She even played an electronic piano that SOUNDED like his guitar. They were both aware of this strange likeness.

It's criminal that there is no Lindsey-Christine project. I suppose Tango is the closest thing we'll ever get to that.

Am I right in thinking that we've had a FM album with Christine and Stevie but no Lindsey (Behind the Mask) and an FM album with Lindsey and Stevie but no Christine (Say You Will) but we've never had an FM album with Lindsey and Christine but no Stevie?

I wonder how thst would have turned out?

Gail

In a lot of ways though, Gail, Tango is the Lindsey/Christine Mac album. I mean, Stevie was only around two weeks for that. The Lindsey and Christine songs fit perfectly together on that album and it bore a few collaborations between them (You And I, Part II, Mystified, Ricky).

Edit: I forgot Isn't It Midnight!

Yes Tango was pretty much Christine and Lindsey's baby. IMO it has the best collection of songs by Christine on one album

I love it, too. The only bummer is some of the production choices with re: to Christine's voice. On songs like Everywhere and Isn't it Midnight, her voice is made to sound thin and "poppy"--I suppose. When I first heard that record I thought her voice was leaving her, but then I heard how wonderful she sounded on those songs live.

Actually I would love to see a four piece of Mick, John, Christine and Peter Green.

It's never going to happen in a million years but I would love to hear them

Gail
