Not sure. It could be any of them really, except L&O. I love L&O but I never find myself thinking it's better than all the others.

If I didn't have to do an interview with Kid Creole this week, I'd go home and listen to my Lindsey albums back-to-back just to be sure...

as I said in the other thread...

OUT OF THE CRADLE

Everything else pales to the point of non-consideration.

Go Insane is for me equal with the new album. I could only vote for one, so I gave the new one some love thanks to ChiliD.

I find this list interesting because, for me at least, GoS and SWS are really similar albums. I think the songwriting and production are pretty uniform between the two. What is it that you like about SWS that GoS doesn't have (or what don't you like in GoS that SWS doesn't do)?

no time precious time maybe?! that song brings GOS to a screeching halt almost before it really starts. to me, individually, there are some songs that i love love love on GOS (wait for you, TRPTF, GOS, underground), some so-so songs (great day, LRD, DYMM, treason), and then there is TPT which would be gorgeous as instrumental, but the chorus is just grating. it would work as a closer, but not at the start of the album (sequencing, anybody?)

"Great Day" (Buckingham, Will Buckingham) – 3:15
"Time Precious Time" – 4:27
"Did You Miss Me" (Buckingham, Kristen Buckingham) – 3:58
"Wait for You" – 5:02
"Love Runs Deeper" (Buckingham, Kristen Buckingham) – 3:58
"Bel Air Rain" – 3:52
"The Right Place to Fade" – 4:05
"Gift of Screws" – 2:56
"Underground" – 3:02
"Treason" – 4:28

I agree with you. I don't see a great difference in the quality of the albums. I put GoS first, but not by a wide margin. Also, time may cause me to flip flop the two of them. Right now, I think of Bel Air Rain, Underground, Gift of Screws, RPTF and Wait for You as classics. But give me a couple of years with the songs on SWS and they may take on that status as well.

GoS does not have anything I find lacking in SWS. I like the title song more than I like Treason (and I like the bonus version even more than the album edition of SWS). I don't really like She Smiled Sweetly though. Still, even on GoS I found Time Precious Time expendable. So, I don't think SWS has more clunkers. They both have a superb rocker (GoS and One Take. Maybe I'd give that edge to GoS, just because I loved it live so much. I might feel differently if the gentleman would ever deign to perform One Take live.

I think the chorus on Gone Too Far is, in the top 5 of his whole catalog. That drawn out "save me" just does me in. It might not have an equal on GoS.

Overall, there's pretty good parity between the two albums.

Michele

Yeah I always hate that after the solo at the beginning of Great Day. That's like the best solo ever.
