Default Christine painting of Stevie

Back in 2002, there was a charity auction with a painting of Stevie by Christine. I didn't think a picture of the painting was still on the internet. Here it is. Just click on where it says Christine McVie original painting.

If I remember correctly, the painting went for $5000 on eBay!

That's pretty! Also, looking at the other stuff there... Not gonna lie, I want those handwritten Peter, Paul and Mary lyrics.

I would love to see more of Christine's artwork. She is so multi-talented. Has she ever displayed any of her art? If she has really retired from music (sniff) maybe she could have a second career as a painter.

I'd buy a coffee table book with prints of Christine McVie's artwork, for sure.

That painting looks familiar to me. I have seen it somewhere...maybe it will come to me where. It is very pretty. Are there any other works by Christine available for viewing?

It's a great painting, one that reminds me a little Chagall's later work...I am interested that this was done in the early 90s, when I thought the band was splintered.

No, she didn't do this painting in the early 90's. I believe she did it specifically for the charity auction in 2002.

This painting was auctioned on eBay in 2002. Someone on another message board posted about the auction. Maybe that's where you remember it from.

I've never seen any other painting that she did. She does have some of her paintings in her home though.

I think I remember seeing it on the Destiny Rules documentary. I think it was in the house they recorded at on a mantle or something? I could be wrong though. I'll have to watch it again.

I'd buy that book too. Don't forget she's also dabbled in sculpture too. I think she does it mostly just for fun though.

I'd go for that too!

"I used to draw quite a bit and I still flirt with the idea, but I'm one of those people who gets nervous in front of a blank sheet of paper. I start out thinking I'm going to create a masterpiece and of course that always leads to disappointment. I have all the artists' supplies and everything but if what I'm creating doesn't look brilliant from the outset I abandon it"

That was from Classic Rock around June/July 2004. How many potential masterpieces have ended up in her wasterpaper bin? I think I'll pop over to Kent and rummage through her bins.

I believe it was somewhere in the Destiny Rules doc. Maybe on the mantel?
