I raided Youtube if that counts since I dont rent movies.I dont want to fund Hollywood anymore.

Got into an 1980's movie mood.

Screwballs 1 and 2,Flashpoint so far.

I got a few boxes of DVDs that were given to me and I got to check them out.

The Jungle Book 3D Blu ray.
I enjoyed this new take. The 3D was pretty good.
Pretty intense for younger viewers though.

FROZEN 3D Blu ray.
All my nieces love this movie (like everyone else's). I can
see why as it's one of the most entertaining children's movies
I've seen. The 3D was fantastic. Disney knows what they're doing.

I watched the new Jungle Book at the cinema and I agree it's very intense for younger viewers. I'd read the reviews with the warnings for younger children, but when I checked with my daughter she still wanted to go. She was 6 at the time and said she was ok with it, but I'm not sure she enjoyed it all that much. Its quite a dark film.

I loved Frozen. Fun and uplifting. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. There was so much hype when the film first came out, and with the song "Let it Go!" which irritated me, so I didn't watch it until the following Christmas, and then had a lovely surprise.

I watched Wonder Boys at the weekend, a film from 2000 that I'd never heard of. I loved it

I agree with you, exactly like MoonSister I watched Frozen just last year because everyone was too obsessed about it and I ended up enjoying it much more than I thought.
However even if the songs and the visuals are reminiscent of the old Disney classic glories, I have to say that the storyline isn't.

Yes you can't beat the old Disney classics, 101 Dalmatians is the current favourite here. We have quite a collection and I'm planning to buy more

Let The Right One In (Lina Leandersson)
Watched this one again last night. A great vampire
flick. Much better than the American remake. Sub-
titles and all.

Well not on DVD but watched Trolls at the cinema with my daughter while on holiday recently. It was a great film for young kids and the music was really brilliant for grown-ups. I'd recommend it for anyone with kids aged 2-6. I think I'll probably have to sit through it a few dozen times on DVD.

Well that's a coincidence, 10mins after reading this my daughter runs in (she'd just seen the advert for Trolls on the TV) asking me if we can go and watch it as it looks hilarious - so thanks for the review

The conjuring. I expected much more but it was enjoyable. Predictable however and I didn't like how the camera was directed.

Complete Unknown (Rachel Weisz, Michael Shannon)

Two good actors, one lame movie. I really thought it would
be better. It could have been a great movie.

I watched "Dog Day Afternoon" last night with my husband. I've always enjoyed that one.

I took my daughter to see Trolls last week. Wow, its very colourful and over-the-top but great fun and yes there's some fantastic music in there.

I watched The Invisible Women, about Charles Dickens' mistress. I'm not particularly a fan of period dramas but this was good. A bit grim in parts as you'd expect of a film involving Dickens, but overall a very enjoyable and beautiful film.

There are a couple of scenes where the main character is striding along a bleak, grey beach and her costume reminds me of Stevie in her Rock a Little outfits, and the scene in Hold me where she is traipsing through the sand in her high heel boots.
