OOTC, but SWS is only a smidgeon behind it!

To use the Brian Wilson comparison:

OotC was Lindsey's "Pet Sounds" with the original GOS being his "Smile". And, the officially released GOS was pretty much a let down like the Smile that eventually got released.

I don't post much anymore, but if I did I would write what Chili wrote above. In 3 lines he captured everything I think about the pinnacle of Lindsey's solo work and where it was going and where it ended up.

Out of The Cradle will always be #1 for me always...not sure about the rest of the order yet but this is #1 just wished he'd play more of it live too. Plus Lindsey still needs his own Box Set for his solo work too...its a shame we don't have one still...IMO anyway....

I love OOTC and GOS because they were the first ones i heard, but i got tired of them.
GI and UTS are harder to get into but also harder to get tired of because they are so unique, but of the two, UTS has the prettiest songs definitely. Nothing, except maybe for "Bel air rain", "Countdown" and "Treason", gets me more emotional than "Under the skin" and "Show you how". And "Shut us down".
Never listened to Law and Order :/.
And SWS is just plain boring to me, i got tired of it after 2 weeks so that's never a good sign. It has some excellent songs though (title track, "rock away blind), but most of it sounds forced to me, and...i don't know.
Anyway it would go like that, these days :
1. UTS
2. GI
3. OOTC
4. GOS
5. SWS

But really the first 4 are just excellent albums and OOTC is objectively the best.
5.

interesting, thanks for playing! i think you and i probably have diametrically opposite musical taste - the songs that you listed as emotionally potent to you are the ones that are boring, nothing special, or annoying to me. but we do agree on SUD and RAB.

i noticed that already, but hey, this means Lindsey is a versatile guy who can bring people with very different music tastes together. This is good.

You like it? It's brilliant. The music video is pretty cool too.

Yes, I love Show You How and am fascinated by the collage of photos Lindsey put together for the video. I used to just slow them down to look at them. Michele

My favorite album is Out Of The Cradle, followed by Seeds We Sow.

I'll post my reasons why when I'm not typing on my cell phone.

OOTC. The other albums have ups and downs, but OOTC is the most consistently brilliant.

This!

Although I would add that although the others have one or two downs, they mainly have ups!
