I was the person at the stage furtherst to the left. The security guys at this show were the nicest in history. My actual seat was 3rd row way off to the left, but one of the guards basically said whoever wants to walk up to the stage basically can.

I finally made it over to the stage near the end. I was at the far right side next to the gal that shouted, "I love you Lindsey!" I too was amazed how nice security was! I wished I'd went to the stage earlier! I'll make sure to do that next time. I agree....loved the intimacy! I was impressed with how much passion he puts into his playing and energy too! I hope he will tour next yr too, would love to see more of him!

It's been a long time since I traveled down from Springville to Salamanca, you're right, extending 219 isn't going to save much time and it'll be sad to see the towns along the way fizzle and die out. I was trying to remember where 219 intersected the NYS border at on the way up, we took 219 in PA and then crossed over into NYS past Warren....to Falconer and the back way to Forestville........those mountains are so beautiful! The weather was beautiful for the trip up and back to Virginia!

what what what?? future tour?!?! request portion?!?!?!?

all this sounds great!!

i can't be objective since this is the only tour i've seen (and out of the 5 shows i've seen, he never said that!), but i do think this is great setlist (once i got over unhappiness with UTS, Sorrows, and Treason). in any case, it is definitely much better than UTS, probably b/c SWS songs he does are so great and energetic. i've listened to some boots from GOS tour, and i do skip some songs there, but i don't skip any on this one.

i do agree that the total lack of GOS/SYW songs on this tour is just wrong, though.

i think SUD is a perfect opener, however i can see how the high energy start of the show like GOS tour had would be just as great albeit completely different.

and, i completely disagree with you about Turn it on - i think it's just perfect where it is in the setlist, and it's one of my top 3 songs from OOTC (the other 2 being Don't look down and YDOYD).

Lindsey Buckingham @ Seneca Allegany Events Center (Inside the Seneca Allegany Casino) Salamanca, NY November 5, 2011

Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham brought his solo act to the Seneca Allegany Casino last Saturday night. Mostly known for his plucking style of guitar playing, Lindsey played songs from his latest solo effort “Seeds We Sow,” in addition to a slue of Fleetwood Mac covers.

The casino allowed the first couple of rows to fill in the front, as per the request of Lindsey. He surely played off the crowd and enjoyed every ounce of adulation and gave it back as well. Buckingham enjoyed the spotlight on the first four tracks of the evening, and was later joined by his band to complete the set. However, he did finish the show in earlier fashion, as he performed the last song of the evening, “Seeds We Sow,” under a single spotlight once again.

Lindsey talked about why he is choosing to play these small shows with just his acoustic and electric guitars. His thoughts conveyed that it takes him back to his days as a kid, learning on the acoustic and just enjoying the simplicity of that. He also referred to Fleetwood Mac as the “big machine” and his band as the “little machine.”

Lindsey would make it to the edge of the stage and hold his guitar while letting the fans strum some chords during the Fleetwood Mac classic, “Go Your Own Way.” “Big Love” was an intense masterpiece and one of the evening’s highlights. The other highlight was the song “Stars are Crazy,” as his solo during it was simply jaw dropping. In fact, he played 5 other new songs off of “Seeds We Sow.” Buckingham offered a great mix of song selections and the new material seemed very well received.

Set List:

Shut us Down
Go Insane
Never Going Back Again
Big Love (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Under my Skin
All my Sorrows
In Our Own Time
Illumination
Second Hand News (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Tusk (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Stars are Crazy
End of Time
That’s the Way Love Goes
I’m so Afraid (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Go Your Own Way (Fleetwood Mac cover)

Encore:

Turn It On
Treason
Sees We Sow

We would like to thank Tony Astran from the Seneca Allegany Casino for allowing Backstageaxxess.com to review the show.
